Hey, I been playing your mod a bit and it seems to be going pretty smoothly. but I noticed that every time a sim talks to a sim with your trait, they get a lot of negative moodlits. I don't feel like that's right because no matter the conversation they get around 3-6 negative moodlits and it makes every sim this sim talk to miserable just from being around them. A big part of the disorder is extreme social anxiety, and it feels like it's making these feeling true or deserving in a way because everyone this sim talks to hates being around them. While saying this I do understand that the sims may have some limits to what you can properly portray I think that if there were maybe were maybe 1-3 instead of 3-6 negative moodlits a sim gets from talking with or making them triggered by specific conversation options that you get with the trait. Other than this I'm really liking this mod!

Hi, thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it. I lowered the chance of negative moodlets appearing (for every sim) to 20% and that of additional negative moodlets to 4% each (from 10%), I also deleted a couple buffs. I honestly agree with what you're saying here. My original intention was for each additional buff to correspond to a type of thought disorder, but in the end I added too many to where they accumulated to a ridiculous degree. I didn't delete many but with the lowered chance there should be less moodlets at the same time and less often. If you feel this is still a problem after the update, please tell me. Also, happy holidays

Default Ghost Buffs
I used Zerbu's mod constructor to make this trait. For some reason, when I use this tool, it sometimes creates "ghost" buffs that appear white and have a duplicate description to the last moodlet. These buffs do not cause any problems on their own... however, in this mod, if you delete them with UI cheats or any other method, it will cause a bug where certain buffs won't appear anymore.

I have no idea why this happens, and it's been driving me crazy trying to figure it out,

I have the same problem; it also drives me crazy. I had not noticed anything, however, as a result of deleting the ghost buffs.

Hello, thank you so much for translating the mod! I'm glad you're enjoying it! Can I add your translation as an additional file in the post?

hi, i wanted to drop in and say thanks for this mod. i'm schizotypal myself so it was cool to come across this. it adds a lot of challenges to the game, some extremely real ones too lol. some of these buffs really hit home. i also appreciate the attention to emotion weight as that's a massive part of it. i was going to ask if you're open to suggestions for additional features like need decay modification, potentially emotion weight, autonomy and potentially skill gain/effective skill modifiers. that's just for realism's sake though, to add a bit more challenge but also to have something going for a schizotypal sim, as there are some "benefits" to schizotypy among the negatives (despite the negatives outweighing them). however if you're not open to suggestions, that is totally okay too, because it's good as is. this mod is cool and living as a schizotypal sim, much like a schizotypal person, is a big challenge. thanks for this mod!

edit: i also like that the trait icon isn't an alien lmao.

Hey, I'm glad that you liked it! And yeah, I'm totally open to suggestions! Tbh, the mod already has stuff like decay modifications for skills, emotions, etc., though I kinda forgot write it all in the description lol. However, it's true that I didn't add many advantages apart from higher skill gain for painting and writing. I'd be interested to see what you had in mind in that sense? I'll try to incorporate it to the best of my ability ^▿^ (Also sorry for the delay)

Awesome! I thought I'd bring up some of the lesser known facts about STPD in regards to need decay, they're a little inconsequential in the big picture but I just thought it would be neat to add these, and don't worry, i'm sticking with mod constructor functions:
- Schizospec people (any schizophrenia spectrum disorder, STPD included) tend to feel excessive thirst, and in a Sims sense, STPD sims might have a quicker decay of the invisible thirst motive leading them to autonomously grab more glasses of water than necessary (an additional challenge, both with sim autonomy and the way they leave stuff laying around lol). and it would be common in STPD Sims to have a quicker decay of the bladder need, which for gameplay's sake i might not increase the decay by very much lmao but it's a potential additional challenge. but that's a lesser known fact about schizospec disorders, we tend to be incredibly if not insatiably thirsty lol.

- this is entirely up to you, but i'll say it's just a bit disheartening being pretty much unable to build relationships, as people with STPD can still make connections, even long-term romantic ones, like mine irl! but the buildup would still be a lot slower, especially romance; that's absolutely true. the social need and desire to initiate new relationships would definitely still be absent or very low like you have it already, that's really accurate. i might just suggest the buildup for friendship and romance be just slightly higher than 0.1, but again, it's up to you! it's not unusual for schizotypal people to have very few relationships, but i have to cheat my relationships with the sim or two that i'd like my schizotypal sims to have some relationship with lol, sometimes even family members unfortunately.

- in terms of advantages, it's pretty common to come across very musically-inclined and talented schizotypal people; you'll find a lot of them enjoy improvising, which is just a factoid unrelated lol. but similarly to the writing and painting skill, an increase in musical skills would also be a really nice and accurate addition. an advantage i thought about was to give just a couple more inspired buffs to STPD sims; throughout history, so many iconic and relentlessly inspired artists, authors, musicians, and inventors are speculated to have STPD (some claim they were autistic, but that's likely due to the overlap in some presentations that most people are unaware of) or my schizo friends and i will often find passionate, inspired works that drip with schizotypy lmao.
the inspired emotion gets a boost for sure, which is super appreciated as that's a factor of schizotypy that sometimes gets overlooked! but i was thinking perhaps just a couple of inspired random buffs/mixer interactions/buff replacements that allow STPD sims to have bursts of creative energy could be beneficial to the schizotypal sim.

-one last chapter to this long long message: i just want to express my appreciation for your attention to the buffs and expressions of schizotypy within them. so many of them hit hard, and in a good way; a way where it's less like "ouch" and more like "holy crap, someone gets it." some of the buffs you've given these sims and some of the descriptions of the replacement buffs have given words to things and emotions i experience that i didn't previously have words for, and some have even helped in communicating it to others in a more effective way. so this mod has actually really impacted my life a lot, and i wanted to thank you for it!

so i just typed a bible at you and i apologize sincerely. that's another thing about schizo people; we may talk and interact less, but we tend to either be short or long-winded when we do talk lol, particularly long-winded when we have ideas ("Reveal new theory" is an interaction I really like because of that!). i'm definitely not asking for all of it from you at all, i know firsthand trait modding can be seriously time-consuming enough as is; these are all just potential ideas, how you use them is entirely up to you because this mod is already great as is!

Damn, I didn't know about the thirst thing :O. Thank you for taking the time to type this out! I'll try to incorporate your feedback as soon as I can . Don't worry, I don't mind the bible at all. I actually appreciate it, it's nice to get feedback from a person with firsthand experience, especially when firsthand perspectives are sadly not given much weight in most resources (including diagnostic manuals). I will try to get it done in a couple of days

Hey, it seems there's a problem with this mod
Ever since I installed it none of my sims have energy decay anymore, even though none of them even have it. When I removed the mod from my game the decay was back.
It's sad because I really appreciate mental disorder traits, especially ones that are really well made and are a true representation, but I can't play with my sims never having to sleep.
I'm not sure if it's a mod conflict or anything, but for now I'll remove the mod. When I have more time I'll go through my mods to see if I can find something though, thank you anyways for making this! <3

Hey, thanks for commenting! I wasn't completely able to replicate this bug, but my tuning was indeed outdated, so I changed it. I think it should fix it. (?) Please let me know if the problem persists or if you spot more bugs after the update

I played for a few sim days and my sims are getting tired again as they should be! The decay still feels very slow to me even for sims that shouldn't have any traits or buffs that change how fast they get tired, but as I said I think I have some other mod that also changes the energy need decay that might have conflicted here.
Anyways, thank you for fixing it so quickly! I use a lot of mental disorder mods in my game to learn more about them, and your trait is so great in a way that it shows how someone that has the disorder feels and thinks while still maintaining a level of confusion for someone who doesn't experience these thoughts themselves.
Really great work, and thank you again! <3

Just letting you know that this is making the saved household where I gave my sim this trait crash. I don't know why, but I narrowed it down to this because it loads without it in the game. It's the most recent (May 7th) update of it.

Just letting you know I had the same or a similar problem as KagomeKagome. After the update the household with this trait got stuck on an infinite loading screen, removing your mod fix it.

Heya! I also had the "energy decay" bug. After updating the archives my saved game got stuck on an infinite loading screen.
I tried removing all other script mods and even deleting cached files and repairing the EA app, with no use.
Lucky me I had a backup of the old version! Restoring the old version of this mod fixes the issue.
I have no expasions nor packs in my game. Thanks for the mod anyway, I love it!
