I've got the -onlyPlayerOwned version, but movies are disabled in a dorm? I put down the player and got same result.

I ran HCDU and found no conflicts involving it. User error, misunderstanding, or something else? I'd like to double-check before deciding whether to do the dreaded 50/50.

@Bulbizarre - to be more precise, in the "onlyPlayerOwned" version, following lot types are affected by the Plumbflix Player to disable building the Movie Menu when the game is running the code:
- Lot type 0 ("Residential");
- Lot type 1 ("Community") if it's owned AND has a business;
- Lot type 3 ("Frat").

Which in inverse means that these lot types are NOT affected, or should not be, in theory:
- Lot type 1 ("Community") if not an owned business;
- Lot type 2 ("Dorm");
- Lot type 4 ("Secret Society");
- Lot type 5 ("Hotel");
- Lot type 6 ("Vacation Secret Lot");
- Lot type 7 ("Hobby Secret Lot");
- Lot types 8 & 9 ("Apartment Base" and "Apartment Sub");
- Lot type A ("Witch Secret Lot").
As well as lot types E through 16 which are used by Chris Hatch's custom EP's.

Was your dorm ever, at any point, a different lot type? Does the game somehow think the lot is not a dorm?
If you're not sure, there is a way for me to check. Force Error on anyone on the lot and send me the error log. The current Lot Zoning is included in the Global Sim Variables there.

It's the Sim State Dormitory, which I haven't rezoned - unless Maxis did at some point, or overusing dormSpecificToolsDisabled false could break things. Thankfully I already had an error log from one of my Sims earlier.

Bro LimeyYoshi; I have a question. The reflection on the DVD Player reflected something like a line of words that when read in my game, shown Bottom -2. It's a bit ugly and I don't like that... In your screenshot, it seems to be reflecting sth like "Fro---"?

Where exactly on the DVD player do you mean? Could you circle in where the problem lies?

Note that the original textures were made by simgo here at MTS, I only made edits to make the text Simlish, as well as add the red Plumbflix logo. Is that what you mean, possibly?

What I meant is the reflection on the DVD player surface. I tried to take pictures but it's so low quality I doubt you could see it here, but in game, words like "Bottom -Z" or something "+X" can be seen Reflecting on the surface, esp in White recolor. even on your first screenshot, English words can be seen reflected on the grey DVD player. Zooming in on that screenshot of yours reveal "Fro-" being reflected, possibly indicating "Front". *pray that you get what I mean*.

@ChauTeo - Ok, I get what you mean now. I can confirm the players show up like that, and that is of course not intended by me! However, I also have no idea why this is even happening. The textures I edited do not include such text, so it may possibly come from the reflective surface that the Plumbflix players have, but I did not design those, and I am finding absolutely no references to some sort of reflective layer or shader inside the file.

I'll try to get rid of the reflections and see how it looks, and if it will help with the problem.

EDIT: Turns out that those "front +y", "bottom -z" etc. texts come from a Maxis placeholder texture used to test so-called cubemaps. That means they must somehow be enabled on the Plumbflix player and the test texture was never replaced by the original creator.
If I can't figure out how to put a proper texture in its place, I'll just get rid of it.

EDIT 2: Updated! I just got rid of the reflection. It still looks natural as it should.
