Now this is how you make a mod! Fun and quirky but with a 5% chance of death! AWESOME content! PLZ do more (I have ideas if you need em.)

Any chance of a version with just the trait? I would love to see diseases modded into the game but maybe not like this lol.

Thanks for the compliment! I've already got a new project I'm working on, while mulling over how I want to tackle the ghost aspect of this trait, but feel free to post any ideas you might have. Even if I can't do it right now, someone else might take inspiration from it!

No? The stomach ache/ghost aspect is /part/ of the trait, as I'm working on doing something with the undead side of things. There isn't really enough ghost exclusive content, so I'm trying to make this trait sort of like a two-for. The trait itself isn't designed to simulate any sort of disease as there isn't anything in the moodlets I've added to imply a medical condition which requires treatment, diet management or taking medicine to manage the disease. In a nutshell: Sim eats a lot of sugar, there's a chance the Sim explodes in a shower of sprinkles, then comes back as a ghost, embarrassed about the manner of their death. But, now they potentially have an eternity to enjoy sweets. Knowing how I like to play, I'm sure I'll end up denying the ghost aspect that pleasure but that's still a WIP.

But what if we want our Sims to have a sweet tooth and not have a risk of dying from it?

There are numerous ways to resurrect ghosts in-game or avoid death completely by negotiating with the Grim Reaper. It's the way I designed the trait and since I have plans to continue working on it as a life/death trait, I'm sorry but I won't be removing the death chance. This may mean it's a dealbreaker for some people but won't be for others.

I'm sorry, but this kind of sucks. I wanted to use this trait for a character who's immortal. I don't want a mod interfering with my game like this.... Any chance you could split the trait with the booby trap? Also, 5% that recycles every two weeks in-game almost guarantees a spoiled game with a character dying.

No, I do not have any intention on splitting the trait into two separate options for download. I appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback, but I want the trait to behave a certain way and the chance of death is a part of that.

Can you provide me with some additional details? I'm using it right now in my game and it's working fine.

I'm so excited by this trait, mostly because I tell people that I don't have a sweet tooth, I have a a mouth of sweet teeth! ^_^ In your description, it sounds like the death is an automatic, random thing that once triggered is going absolutely happen and lead to death. This makes me very leery, but I may have misread something. Is this death a warning like with elder sims and overexertion (so the danger can pass and my sim isn't guaranteed to die)? Because random, 3 day long, uncontrollable death would be problematic in my sim version of me!

Also (and a bit random) ... this death reminds me of a line in Shrek the Musical ... "Like donuts and ... hm.. what goes with donuts? ... donuts and diabetes!" LOL

Yes. Once triggered, it is going to absolutely happen and lead to death. However, as with any in-game death, there is nothing preventing a negotiation with the Grim Reaper to give the sim a second chance or resurrecting them from ghost-state.

I actually really like the idea of this mod, though I'm not sure about the RNG nature of the death. I don't mind risking death, but it would be nice if we could influence it. Like making a sim get the debuff after eating way too much sugar, not completely random.

Wicked twist to a trait that I've been wanting. Gonna have to save and prep to avoid killing. But also the fun chance of death. Cute new buffs. Gonna go great with my Albus Dumbledore sim. Thanks so much!

"Mysterious aroma" moodlet is extremely annoying and is making the whole family fat. All other moodlets are also over the top. They are popping up constantly and often overlap. Nope, getting rid of this ASAP.

Can you please be more specific? I am playing with it now in my game with no errors. If you'd like to private message me with your error log, or post it here, that would be helpful.

Great mod! Any way to reduce the autonomous baking cakes? Every time a sims has this trait, regardless of how many cakes are nearby, they always bake more. It's amusing at first, but it gets annoying when there's 5+ full cakes around and they still bake more. I would expect them to prefer eating a existing cake than baking another one.

Same! That's why I came here; they keep baking cakes and right now my sim has been enraged for two days just bcus of a the mod, her actually eating sweet stuff doesn't make it go away
I solved it by just switching out the trait lol. I barely care about the random death chance, seems very cool, just the intensity of the mod makes it feel as if every single thing I'm doing in my game for that sim is related to them eating sweet things *sometimes* but mostly baking cakes and being depressed or enraged for hours on end without any clear resolve to their negative buffs (I'm always eating sweet things and think about chocolate literally every day but am I literally enraged bcus of a sugar high for like 16 hrs?!? Are there people that act like this in real life?
Such a cool idea for a mod, just every time I play one of the sims with this trait, I literally hate them and have to switch them to another trait lolll but that's just me of course

Same problem - that's why I took this one out of my game. I love the idea, but not so much the endless autonomous cake baking. (And Watcher forbid you have the cupcake machine nearby...)

Mods rock my sox.

Hello,
I think the trait is broken, my sims keep farting and burping when they have it lol
I couldnt understand why until I realized it was the trait.
