A few questions. 1:Can the trait be inherited by future generations or is it a one-time thing? 2: Do you plan on making more hybrid mods? Because I have an idea for mermaids that are half human.

It's coded to be not inheritable, though if people want that I could make an inheritable version of the hidden trait required for unlocking it? And in any case, I might work on more hybrid mods eventually (although actual in-game hybrids unlocked by mods conflict with some parts of custom occults). Though this week homework is causing delays to my modding efforts. I'm currently in the last stages of play-testing my edits of the Nyx Death Angels mod, then I'll keep looking into Nyx's Werewolf Mod (along my accidental-Nyx-mod-double-fixing new friend from Enhanced Aliens), and I have two trait projects on the way that needed custom icons so I might have wasted half a day on Inkscape.

So like, if you want me to do any edits or look into anything else I could try, though after I finish this week's homework at the very least. I love working on occult thingies, just slightly busy right now.

Rayne will enjoy this new insight into her life as a Dhampyr forever! I really like this idea of having children born to Vampires and their human partners, but it was either Vampire or nothing. Will these mods, this one you just made for Dhampyrs and what you just mentioned in your plans, work with Twelfthdoctor and Iced Cream's mods? Both modders made it possible to have hybrid Sims. But I am not sure what technicalities or compatibilities there are between all of these mods.

This one in particular should be compatible with hybrid mods since it has no custom needs. The issue I've found while I was working on Nyx's mods is that the displayed needs on UI's seemed to randomly not work at times while I had the hybrid mod, which I guess makes sense since it affects that too. I think the visual issues should be limited to mods with custom needs, at least going off what I've noticed while working on Enhanced Aliens/Death Angels/Werewolf. So if I keep making hybrid mods for the sake of compatibility with Occult-Occult hybrids, they probably can't have custom needs, but since I'm making my own hybrids work via gameplay traits unlock (like the traits from completing aspirations) then Dhampyr and whatever else I make should be compatible with hybrids since they technically aren't even recognized as Occult by the game. That said, Dhampyr is specifically conflicting with Vampire unless they die.

I have this mod installed. I have a question about how it works. I had a sims who single go into the woods and get attacked by the werewolf. Then I gave him a family a wife and son. Using the father as the main parent to create the child. Will the child get the wolf ability when he becomes a teen.

hi this is the dhampyr thread, but if you have Werewolf Bloodlines as well as the Werewolf mod, then the child should become a Werewolf when they age up

Hellooooooooow again. I've got three ideas for mermaid-sim hybrids. One is that the sims can't drown even if they're tired, one is that they can go into deep water with scuba gear and the third is the option of whether they get a tail in water. And I'm just putting this out there. Does anyone else find it weird that mermaids get tails in pools and bathtubs? One of them has chlorine for gods sake. Anyway, let me know what you think of my ideas because I have checked and there is absolutely no actual information on mermaid hybrids.

Done along the rest of the update! The children of Dhampyrs will now have the same option as their parents to follow the process and become a Dhampyr themselves.

I have some things in mind for Mermaids in general once I'm done with my queue, though it probably won't be anytime soon. I'll look into preventing drowning and enabling diving, though. I'd never quite looked into those areas before, thank you for the suggestion.

Your third request already exists, though. Zero has a mod to toggle mermaid form: https://www.patreon.com/posts/il-tweaks-fixes-51954297

I'm thinking about downloading this mod, but I'm unsure if it'll work with Iced Cream's Hybrid Stabilizer, TwelfthDoctor1's Hybrid Unlocker, and Zero's Occult Mods...

It's a gameplay trait that has to be unlocked manually so I reckon it should work? The only issue I can imagine might be the motives overlay if you try to make them hybrids with anything, but honestly haven't tried it out. The only restriction Dhampyr has is that you can't simultaneously be a Vampire.

No lie, I'm tempted to remake the Dhampyr interactions (particularly plasma-related) to be standalone w/ XML Injector to avoid conflict with other mods so might be able to also give them Vampiric Slumber as well. Currently stuck fixing some issues on my demon mod WIP as well as my queue so might be a while though.

Cool mod! I was thinking tho, seems kinda weird that dhamphirs dont want to socialize, but do want to have fun. Even more weird that they dont have energy. The way I figured it in my head, the dhamphir is so affected by their dual nature that they have no need to be with people and often enjoy solitude. So there goes social. And having both hunger AND thirst is amazingly dhamphir unique, but it seems like they should have an energy pool. Is it a limitation in the mod that makes it so the energy pool cant be included with the dhamphir?

In removing the needs Vampires don't have and also adding Thirst made them have an extra need, it made the UI have a huge empty spot because the amount of needs were uneven. So I ended up having to remove an extra one. I suppose if they only ditched one of the needs, like only Social, they could still have Thirst, though it seemed like more of a detriment than a benefit if they'd have to take care of that on top of Hunger while also having most human needs. I've since figured out how to hypothetically make them capable of drinking plasma in all Vampire ways, so dunno if it'd be more fair now.

I mean, after thinking about it, the lack of social did make sense. Its only the lack of energy I couldnt figure out how to "lore" for. Im guessing the super long energy bar that vampires have is not an option in the UI? My feeling is that it makes sense to remove bladder and replace it with thirst, so would still have a six need list, but just no bladder, and an extra need to feed. lol

I could give them Vampire Power, actually. Been considering since I figured out how to make custom needs. The main reason I've been holding back is the whole "hm but I want to remake this entirely later so why change the original now", given how if I add Vampire Power I could technically also clone some Vampire perk powers to give to them. Haven't decided which, though it would likely be with limitations as with their current "dispel illusion" but can't cast them etc powers.

Does the option to enable it show up when you click on the Dhampyr?

yes they all show ,the bat, the mist and enable vampiric speed. When I enable vampire run/speed nothing happens, I click for sim to run somewhere and nothing happens , it just takes its own sweet time to get there not once ounce of speed lol.

When is this error triggering? Is it being caused by doing something specific?

And if possible head over to the Death Angels thread for further discussion.
