I've wanted something like this for a while! I assume this only affects playables and not the random townies you age up along with them?

If you use a mod to make a townie selectable and then manually age them up, such as sim manipulator or sim blender, it works as a playable therefore this mod works with it.

I like it because it makes the townie selectable, ages them up, then makes them unselectable again all in one click. It normally brings up the dialog, and with my mod the dialog is skipped and the townie's aspiration is random too.

Pairing this mod with something like sim manipulator would be the solution for not-random with no dialog breaking the immersion. As I've been using my mod, I've been letting it choose a random aspiration and if I was really wanting something else, I'd use sim manipulator to change it to the not-random aspiration I was hoping for :D

The grilled cheese aspiration is not included/coded into my mod at all. But I see no reason why it wouldn't be possible! The question would be, how common would you want grilled cheese to be compared to the others? A 1 in 7 chance, or a special occurrence that is much rarer than the other 6 aspirations?

Yes it does! It was interesting figuring out how that works. The turn Ons and Turn Off are actually assigned before the aspiration dialog pops up! Who knew??

I believe the game automatically randomizes turn ons for you anyway. If you reload the lot you might get different ones. I mean that's what the game does on its own, you don't need this mod for that.

Thanks for the info, I’d love to see the Grilled Cheese aspiration included, and I think others would enjoy it too! It could be fun if it were a bit rarer than the other aspirations to keep it feeling special, but I’m sure people would appreciate having it available in any way you think works best.

I'm a Sims 2 addict. I can spend hours playing the game and I'm always finding new things to do.

I have just finished the grilled cheese version! I set it to be about a 1 in 50 chance of a sim growing up to have the grilled cheese aspiration instead of the other 6.

I have updated to include the third version with grilled cheese! Check it out!

Thank you so much for adding this update. I'll give it a try and see if I get lucky with the Grilled Cheese aspiration. I really appreciate you taking the time to add this feature. it's going to be fun to have that rare chance pop up.

HCDU+ finds a conflict with Simler90's "Aging Townie Aspiration Fix". Testing to see if making this mod load last resolves the issue.

I think that with this mod it would fix the grow up aspiration that the aging townie aspiration fix fixes. Happy to be corrected on that one though.

It does conflict with Simler90's mod as they're modifying the same BHAV. Having them both will cause one of them to not work. However I have just created an addon to my mod to download that will allow FreeTime friends to get random aspirations too! Check it out!

Hello again! Please download the updated grilled cheese mod, I have fixed an error that made it assign nothing, or a blank aspiration, when it was supposed to assign grilled cheese!

Sorry for the mix up on the one I put out originally and thank you for inspiring me to make the grilled cheese version, the more I think about it the more I like the random silliness it adds to the game

thank you very much for this! there is a conflict showing with midgethetree's plantsim child/teen mod. is there a proper load order for them or are they simply incompatible?

Got the updated grilled cheese mod (I like "grilled cheese" as an occasional Aspiration), also the revised Freetime addon.Turned off Simler's mod and tested with a not-favorite hood, and it works smoothly. I don't always agree with the random turn-on/turn-off assignments, but those are easy to tweak with SimPE.

Unfortunately they are incompatible as that mod is modifying the same BHAV that my mod does.

If you haven't, check out sim manipulator, found here: https://simmanipulator.forumotion.c...sim-manipulator.

I use it to change the aspiration and turn ons/offs I don't agree with to what I want within the game itself, plus tons of other cool ways to change things. I highly recommend it as a way to change that stuff without having to exit the game!
