This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
Picked Upload! This is a picked upload! It showcases some of the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
Hiya,

I was asked to make a simple, recolor-friendly repository set of longer banners.
And things kinda got out of hand.
So bear with me.

All items made with Blender, UvMapper, SimPE 0.48 and PSP.
English catalog entries for everyone.
The base pack works in all versions of the game. You'll need Uni (not sure about Night Life) for the multi-story stuff.
Feel free to fiddle, recolour (please recolour ) and generally mess with these objects. Just give credit where it's due and link to the meshes here.
Speaking of credit: Thanks to Numenor, JWoods and Echo for various tutorials.
There will be no zip-files. Don't bother asking. Just get an extractor.

Warning: This is a repository set. You'll need the Wall Banner installed for all objects to work properly.

The goodies

Base pack New and improved!

Wall Banner
Simple one-tile, one-story hanging banner.
This is the repository item of the entire set, you'll need this for the others to work.
Find in Decorative/Wall
Poly's: 355
Comes with a recolour for the railing.

Wall Mounted Banner
On a railing, coming out of the wall.
Borrows both tapestry and railing from the wall banner.
Find in Decorative/Wall
Poly's: 448

Standing Banner
On a stand
Borrows both tapestry and railing from the wall banner.
Find in Decorative/Wall
Poly's: 733

Multi Story Banners

These started off as multi-story columns. So you'll need Uni to support them.

Two Story Banner
Borrows rail texture from the Wall Banner
Find in Decorative/Wall
Poly's: 298

Three Story Banner
Very big.
Borrows rail texture from the Wall Banner
Find in Decorative/Wall
Poly's: 298

Tapestries
Multi story tapestries. Again, they started out as multi-story columns (long ago), so they need uni.

Big Tapestry
Two Tile, Two Story tapestry
Borrows rail texture from the Wall Banner
Find in Decorative/Wall
Poly's: 298

Huge Tapestry
Three Tile, Two Story tapestry
Borrows rail texture from the Wall Banner
Find in Decorative/Wall
Poly's: 298

Edit: Two more.

I had forgotten two sizes, so here they are. Find them under 'multi tile banners'.

Two Tile Banner
One story, two tiles.
Completely independant.
Poly's: 298

Three Tile Banner
One story, three tiles
Completely independant.
Poly's: 298

Pics

and a pic of the new ones

Edit: I reworked the basic three banners and fixed some lighting issues on them. They look a lot better, now, so redownload them if you want. They'll overwrite the old ones.

ok, enjoy and please tell me of any problems.

You must have the expansion or stuff packs listed below installed to use this custom content. Please see the post text for any exceptions.

WOW! Very Pretty. When I get around to making a midevil family, I'll cover their casle in this. Beautiful!

I'm betting those Potter fans would also like these in their Hogwarts...

Many, many thanks Lethe I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the time and effort you put into making my medieval sims more and more true to the age.

Whats a castle without its banners or standards right? You are awesome...

Ohhh, you used the Manesse Codex! I'm all admiration. I can be something of a history nerd, and I love to see period art work used for deco objects. Fantastic work, thanks!

I wanted to make some larger sized tapestries and hoped someone on here had made a good mesh for that use. The 2 and 3 tiled ones are perfect...only, after testing them in my game, I can't pick up the object after it's been placed or even get the game to acknowledge that I'm hovering on it by turning into a hand and failing to pick it up.

I have all EPs and half the SPs (don't have celebration, teen, H&M, new k&B). I'd really like to have more realistically sized tapestries and this is the only mesh I've found. Please let me know if this is a problem other people are having and when it's fixed.

(If it's just my problem then I will be very sad! Also, I'm not really able to use more advanced SimPE easily to do my own RC...which I understand Wizards can't handle CC RC, right?)

hello! this are wonderful and oh so useful for recoloring. thank you for making them!

i have been having the same problems as KSTrillian. i can't pick the multi-story ones after placing them! it doesn't make them unusable, but it does become a nuisance.
