This is The St. John Chateau! This home is one of my biggest ever. The roofing job is very complex, it took quite a while for me to get the roof to behave correctly. My favorite thingy about the exteriour it is how the Foyer pops out of the roof with it's tall double columns and big door and window to light it up. Walking inside you will find a Formal Dining Room, Living Room, and a Study with Double French Doors. Next to the Study is a bedroom made for teen. Straight down from the Foyer is the Sunk-In Family Room. Across from that is a gorgeous Tuscan Kitchen. The Master Bedroom Suite is beautiful with tall columns to seperate the bedroom from sitting area. Inside the Master Bedroom is the second biggest but probably the most luxurious Master Bathroom I've ever built. Upstairs you will find three more bedrooms, all of which are themed and huge Gameroom plus a little Loft to play Poker. The Backyard is stunning, it's design is hard to explain so you'll just have to see the pictures.

I built this home in a span of a week. This home took an hour to design, 8-9 hours to build from start to finish, then another hour to do the all the pictures, and finally around 45 minutes to type up this post. So basically this home is my pride and joy!

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Install: Double-click on the .sims2pack file to install its contents to your game. The files will automatically be installed to the proper location(s).
  • You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Oh wow--I am in awe! You did a tremendous job with this house! This is indeed a work of art. The master bath was my favorite--simply stunning! Very impressive!

i love how this house looks like an actual house. too many people design houses that look nice on the outside, but couldn't even be imagined to be functional on the inside..irl or for the sims. this house is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS with real architecture in mind, not just the basic sim home-building techniques.

bravo!

Something about your usage of the double column to create and amazing classical portico tells me that you know a bit about architectural history. Maybe not. Mad house by the way.

How did you do the driveway?! I tried to do it, but I just can't seem to get a garage perpendicular like you did?

Please tell!

There's a tutorial on how to do it right here. Make sure to read some of the comments as there's extra info that could help.

I don't have OFB.. But I would hate to now own this house.
Can I download it anyway, or will it just crash and burn?

Well, it's like throwing dice really, you never know what your going to get. One person downloaded my villa set without NL and he was just missing some objects. Others, however, will have their game crash right away upon trying to enter the lot. So you can try downloading without but there's no telling what'll happen. Hope I helped...
