Marcel Wanders is a ridiculously talented designer from Boxtel, the Netherlands. Elected designer of the year 2005/2006, Elle Decoration International Designs Awards and one of Holland’s 100 most influential people, Marcel heads up his own design studio as well as collaborating with some of the worlds top design firms. He is currently working on an interior and architectural design project opening at Mondrian, Las Vegas. Some of his wallpaper can be purchased through Graham & Brown.

The Plantina Black paper makes a great accent wall in modern homes and I have an entire room covered in it in my gothic house. I have used Hermitage in some of my bathrooms. Grace is another wonderful gothic style wallpaper and Snowflake is currently used in the lobby of one my Bon Voyage mountain hotels!

Note Bene:
Marcel uses tiny pieces of glass tile to create the original Hermitage and Snowflake designs turning the concept of wallpaper on it's head! Snowflake was originally conceived for the entrance hallway of the Rivington Hotel in NYC - another reason I used it in one of my hotels.
