UPDATE: Fixed issue where blank chance cards were showing at levels 3, 6, and 10. All levels now include custom chance cards.
This career was inspired by my own laziness. One of my Sims owned her own Flower store within the neighborhood, and it was actually a lot of fun to play. For a while. I think after the first three or four Sim weeks, switching lots every single morning and evening becomes more of a hassle, rather than exciting.
So I decided to just take the plunge and create an actual career track for her to work on, so that I could stay on the home lot and play with the rest of the Household, whilst Sophie still got to do what she loved.
About This Career
Level 1: Cashier
Pay: §160
Hours: 8:00-16:00
Days: Mon-Fri
Description: You've been taken on as an intern at the local Florist. It's minimum wage of course, but you have to start somewhere! There's not much to do except buy coffee and surf the web. Oh, and occassionally serve customers. Showing a flair for creativity will definitely impress the boss here.
Level 2: Delivery Boy
Pay: §330
Hours: 11:00-19:00
Days: Tues-Sun
Description: It was touch and go whether you'd still have a job at the flower store after the unfortunate ammonia incident. Luckily, the staff rallied and ensured the store was open for business the very next day. The local news radio station ran a story on the whole ordeal, and business increased by over 40% The extra business means that you have now been made a permanent member of the team! It's only delivering bouquets, but still, it means you are now trusted with the flowers.
Keep on toeing the line, and you'll be promoted before you know it.
Level 3: Florist's Assistant
Pay: §275
Hours: 6:00-15:00
Days: Mon-Fri
Description: Longer hours, but an opportunity to work the phones, increase people skills, and learn the trade. You'll also have to be in the store early each day, to accept all of the deliveries. Spend some time honing the skills involved in working in the flower store, and hopefully your boss will recognise your effort and potential.
Level 4: Trainee Florist
Pay: §475
Hours: 8:00-17:00
Days: Mon-Fri
Description: One of the staff members at the store has agreed to pass on her wisdom, and train you to become a florist! Getting hands-on training with an experienced florist is a great way to begin your career. She will teach you about the growing properties of various flowers, how to properly cut flowers, care for them, and how to use them in complex floral designs.
Make sure to soak up everything she tells you, and you could be up for promotion very soon!
Level 5: Student
Pay: §525
Hours: 8:00-13:00
Days: Mon-Fri
Description: "You're a natural!" the boss muttered, after she saw you practicing your flower arrangements this afternoon. She had been planning on recruting another member of staff soon, but has decided to give the position to you instead! To prepare for the role, she is sending you to a local community college to take a short course in design.
A taxi will be along each morning to take you to class. Make sure you do well here, and prove to your boss that you are worth her time and effort.
Level 6: Florist
Pay: §720
Hours: 7:00-16:00
Days: Mon-Fri
Description: You survived your stint in community college, and made it back to the store in one piece. You are now working fulltime for the flower shop, and loving every second of it. Every item you create is a work of art! Keep on pushing that creativity, and you'll be top dog at this store in no time at all.
Level 7: Senior Florist
Pay: §925
Hours: 8:00-17:00
Days: Mon-Fri
Description: You are now the most senior florist working at the store. You are meeting with clients regularly each morning, and helping them to create a vision for their event. Of course, it's always a nice treat when you get to boss around the younger members of staff!
Keep those clients happy, and hopefully they'll spread word to their friends about you and the store.
Level 8: Manager
Pay: §1230
Hours: 9:00-17:00
Days: Tues-Fri
Description: You've been headhunted! You are now the manager of a huge chain of flower stores in the city! After complaining about the long commute you will face in the mornings, the owner has given you an extra day off a week. You're earning more money than ever, so maybe it's time to start thinking about owning your own store one day?
Level 9: Wedding Florist
Pay: §1600
Hours: 7:00-14:00
Days: Thurs-Sun
Description: After several very successful, and very high profile weddings, you are now the most sought after wedding florist in the Country. Sims (both celebrity and regular) are lining up outside your office to have you help make their special day as memorable as possible. You will primarily be working weekends, so you have plenty of time to plan your next move within the world of flowers!

Pay: §2100
Hours: 9:00-15:00
Days: Tues-Fri

Your arrangements and achievements speak for themselves, so you had no trouble in securing investors for your own business. With your skills and natural talent, this venture is sure to last long into the future.
