I don’t use a ton of custom content in my game, but I definitely have a few favorite items that I tend to automatically reach for while building. I’m of the opinion that a judicial use of Maxis-matchish content adds to, rather than subtracts from, the appeal of a build, so I normally don’t feel bad about slathering on the CC in the interest of achieving just the right shade of roof or perfectly proportioned bathroom tiles. But it’s been a while since I’ve done a CC-free build, so I just wanted to reaffirm that I’m perfectly happy with this game even without twenty-piece matching window sets. Plus, I like not having to put together a content list!
This is an old-fashioned Victorian painted lady with three good sized bedrooms upstairs and main living areas plus a study (and potential fourth bedroom) downstairs.
- 20x30 lot
- §101,456 | §50,926
- 3 bd/2 ba + study
I faked the look of decorative window trim by using wall shelves above and below the windows. Since those are Buy items, they will disappear if you choose to move into this house "unfurnished." Just a heads up!
By the way: if you’re in the market for another CC-free, old-fashioned Victorian, check out the lot under "also recommended" in the sidebar.
