There was an update to the extension that requires new permissions. If you're using Chrome, check to see if your options tab is glowing orange.

I got it, my extension started working after that.

Its working fine now (v1.03), but I suspect tsr will find a way to combat this.

I thought about using this.

But I use the 10 + 60 seconds to go to the bathroom, fold the towels, etc. TSR can make me wait, but they cannot force me to sit through the timer. Not yet, anyway.

My family knows when I've downloaded several things off TSR (Sometimes, I'll need meshes, for instance.) More folded towels in the laundry closet. Sometimes ... gasp ... I even forget about the 60-second timer. Then they get more folded sheets as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if the busy bees at TSR are working to thwart that skipper even now. It makes me wonder if they could possibly know who is using it. Yup, I'm just a little paranoid. Just a little.

I use an Ad.Fly skipper extension for Firefox. It works about 95% of the time. When it doesn't work, I just close the tab and skip that CC. Mine is called Skip adf.ly skip!! - it's the best I've found for Firefox so far.

Arensims the creator posted on his tumblr that tsr has made some changes to their site to break the extension, he'll try to update it but he can't guarantee he'll be able to.

They can break the add-on if they want. I have no problem going back to avoiding TSR like the plague.

About waiting time, I really don't get it. I mean I'm an impatient one, and there is always the wait. I'm in the shop buying groceries and there is like 5 people in front of me waiting for one of the automatic machines, or I'm in the shop for interior stuff trying to buy a blanket and what cashier should I choose. You can bet I chose the wrong one. The guy before me chose this moment to have a long discussion on size of those covers on beds. Another time the woman in front of me asks the cashier in the flower store about how to treat this plant and I have you see her standing there with pain twitching eh uh eh, then she just says "if you don't know how to treat that plant you shouldn't buy it". Oh dear don't you have Google silly? There is always bloody waiting time, and you can bet I'm late for something, or on tsr I want to be finished today moron. If I don't give them the bloody time they need who ever it is you bet some decease comes down on me like this moment, or the comp just crash. Patience people, just think about what you need to do next or take the dishes whatever.

The wait time seems trivial for only a few downloads, but when you have 100 mods you want to download and have to wait 60s each time... That's a lot more waiting than in a grocery store line. It shouldn't be an all day project to download content that is labeled free.

If TSR wants to be truly successful and make tons of money then they should operate more like nexusmods.

TSR are such scums. They already updated to block this add-on. I don't know why but I just always feel offended when someone forces that much commercial on me

Those wait times really add up when you're trying to go on a download spree. And a minute long wait time is just freaking excessive. There's no excuse for it

I feel the same way when sites have more ads than content and then beg me to turn off my ad-block XD

My view remains in principle if you don't like what you experience on a site (whether it be their ads, their prices, their flash images whatever) then don't use the site or its content. Or else put up with it. If I find any site I want to use is too slow to enjoy I do without it altogether.

Which is what I was doing until I found this wonderful plugin. Now that they've already done away with it, it's back to not using TSR. Shame too. I actually found some good stuff on there this time around.

But, but, if that's the rule of thumb, then where are we supposed to get our naughty x-rated videos from?

(p.s. don't actually tell me, no need to get anyone banned, just saw the opportunity for an inappropriately lame joke, that was stupid now that I reflect on my decision, feel free to click disagree, I deserve it, I apologize, pls don hurt me. *cookies*)

TSR has never hidden its monetary desires. If it can't get it through subscriptions, and it can't get it through ads, it will let its displeasure be known.

Sometimes, a well-known creator has a mesh you need there. I see no reason to skip TSR entirely, if you want that mesh. Just be choosier if you don't like waiting, and if you see a lot of stuff you want, allow time to get it. And while you wait, do housework, engage in mild exercise (yoga might help), meditate, read a page or two of a book, send a text message. Might was well make use of the waiting time.

The Nexus doesn't punish non-pay users who use Ad Block with a wait delay like TSR does though. A bit of a difference. Membership is totally optional and based on if you want the faster premium servers for large downloads (like huge retexture packages). This coming from someone who is a pay user of Nexus Skyrim/Oblivion. The Nexus could do better in many respects, but at least there is no wait delay.

That is why I sugessted that TSR should operate more like the nexus. I am also a nexus supporter.

As for mod sites go Nexus is about as good as it gets. I just wish more people would publish Sims stuff there, that way it would be easier to see when certain mods have updates and would finally have a good mod manager.
