Default S4pe
Hi!

I installed S4PE, it had given me some errors that I cannot recall now but it let me install nonetheless. I tried using it and I am having the "Could not find a resource handler" Issue, I understand this usually means I extracted it wrong but I deleted all the files, restarted my computer and extracted it with 7z, this did not help, when I open the program it doesnt prompt as a first install. I attempted to uninstall the program but it does not show up in my installed apps. I have extracted it multiple times and I just cannot understand what I am doing wrong.

I also extracted all of the files that you have to with 7z and i added all of the extracted files to one folder.

Anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

The latest version of S4PE doesn't have an installer, did you get it from the GitHub? https://github.com/s4ptacle/Sims4Tools/releases

It should work out-of-the-box by opening that folder and drag and dropping the s4pe folder onto your desktop, but there are a few potential hiccups.
- This program is 3 years out of date at this point. If you're trying to open packages made on versions of the game more recent than that, there's a chance it just can't read them anymore.
- While I can confirm it works on my system (Windows 10), it's possible the program has incompatibility with Windows 11.

Is there a feature you need in S4PE that there isn't an equivalent of in Sims 4 Studio?

Hi! Thanks for your reply, I am unsure, I am trying to learn how to make a custom loading screen for The Sims 4, it seems like every tutorial I find uses this program, do you know of anything else I may be able to use?

Here's a Sims4Studio tutorial for loading screens: https://sims4studio.com/thread/1949...-loading-screen

It may also be useful to open an existing loading screen mod in S4S and compare what you see to the S4PE tutorials, as may still be able to follow along certain steps if they're using features both programs have
