Maxis Matching Pt. 4

Date Posted: 18th Dec 2008 at 9:37 PM

So I've finally decided to upload new Maxis Matching Floors to match the Maxis-made walls (pt 4). It was pretty quick in the making, having two computers next to each other definitely helps. I've also started a word document where I've included a list of all of the floors and walls divided in their categories (i.e. brick, masonry, etc) from The Sims 1 in Alphabetical order. I plan on adding to it with each expansion pack, as I reinstall them on my other computer and go through the list. I'm using it as a reference to attempt to create a complete Maxis Matching set, which will be quite an endeavor I assure you. I think that from now on, I will include updates that will be strictly TS1, and go from there. If I work by expansion pack, in each category, I think I'll be able to have some semblance of order and a goal in mind. It can get overwhelming when you have walls labeled:
Justin Uther Brick Wall Treatment
Justin Uther Brick Wall with Enclosed Timbering in Light Wood
Justin Uther Brick Wall with Enclosed Timbering with Horizontal Cross Embrace in Light Wood
Justin Uther Brick Wall with Enclosed Timbering with Horizontal and Diagonal Crossbraces in Light Wood
Justin Uther Brick Wall with Enclosed Timbering with Horizontal and Reversed Diagonal Crossbraces in Light Wood
Justin Uther Brick Wall with Enclosed Double Timbering in Light Wood

See what I mean?
Anyway, that's the update for now. I have also built a castle and I might post pictures, however, the majority of the stuff I've included are from paysites (from the booty) and so I can't upload it here. Still, I'll go ahead and include pix in another post for you at some point in the future. As to the previous lots, I've abandoned them as I've had several installs and re-installs and do not have the lots in packages so that I can go back in and finish it. I had two lots I'd been working on, to no avail. No wait, three. So I'm about done with Lots for a while. Also, creating a list of custom content is lengthy and incredibly time-consuming, about as time-consuming as building the house itself! So that's on hiatus for now. Anyway, thanks for reading, and I'll see you in the SimZone.

Thanks,
Amber

Trouble in Sims Paradise...

Date Posted: 12th Jan 2007 at 11:16 PM

So I'm currently having major problems with a lot I worked incredibly hard on. You may have seen the little preview I gave in my previous house: Perfectly Petite. Now whenever I open the lot, my game crashes. I'm working very hard trying to remedy the situation as I really really don't want to start from scratch. The prevoiusly packaged lot that had corrupt files in it actually loaded but I deleted it a few days ago. I'm upset because I could have at least used that as a template, replaced the corrupt files as I did before and moved on. Alas, now I cannot. It really ticks me off. Today when I attempted to fix the problem, I received an error message about virtual memory. The stupid lot was loading perfectly yesterday. I saved, re-packaged, & then went to load it up and *poof* my game crashed. So I'm tempted to give up but don't want to loose all the hard work, time, & effort I put into creating the lot.

Here's a preview of what it looks like so that you know why I simply don't want to let it die!
