Sims 4

Date Posted: 15th Aug 2013 at 10:08 AM

Yeah....I never really felt inspired by Sims 3 in the way I was by Sims 2. I've enjoyed playing the game, but aside from a few wallpapers and houses I did, it never went beyond that.

Fingers crossed for Sims 4...I would love to start on the custom content again. Who knows? Let's see how it goes. I have high hopes that Sims 4 will bring back the love I lost in Sims 3.

Custom Content Creators and Simpe...

Date Posted: 29th Aug 2007 at 8:33 AM

I was an avid Sims 1 player, and remember how excited I was once I discovered that I didn't just have to use what came with the game, but that I could also download tons of custom content from so many places.
However, it seems to me that the quality of custom content for The Sims 2 has far exceeded my personal expectations, and I am very appreciative of the time and effort so many good creators have and are putting into their creations.
I can honestly say that I do not believe I would be playing The Sims 2 now (as good a game as it is) if it were not for the custom content. I should know, I have over 30,000 custom content downloads in my folder!

I know, its a bit excessive, but I like to have a little bit of everything, especially of hair and cars, which probably take up about 50% of my download folder.

It is because of the hard work of others that prompted me to pay the community back a little...give something back. Because for me, it is the sims community that makes The Sims 2 one of the best games for me ever....in fact, *the* best game ever for me. Perhaps Sims 3 will surpass that...but we have some time to go yet.

I downloaded SimPE a while back and never used it, so recently I had a go at recolouring a sofa that I like. For some reason, I couldn't quite get a hang of the program itself, and ended up with results I didn't quite expect. Nonetheless, I am going to keep trying, and perhaps start with something much easier (I think), such as a bed cover. :-)

For now, I'm stretching my wings in a slightly different direction from what I've uploaded so far, and doing some wallpaper sets.

Thank you for reading my ramblings.

My first journal entry...

Date Posted: 10th Aug 2007 at 6:41 PM

I'm not really one of many words, so I'm not sure just how often I will add entries to the journal, however I thought I'd give it a go!

I would like to say that I appreciate the positive comments that people have been leaving, it is really encouraging and spur's me on to do something when the inspiration takes me.

I am still new to doing recolours, so I am learning as I go. And I'm also not actually a perfectionist, so sometimes I have to push myself to get things as neat and tidy and as polished as possible.
I feel, from being an enthusiastic downloader, that quality does matter, so I try to do things as best I can.

For a while now, I've been wanting to do some wallpapers and trying doing some pillow recolours (I love having lots of pillows in my game), however I've been procrastinating a little in that area, and instead start doing some new clothing recolours instead! I'm sure I'll get there in the end.

Anyway, thank you to everyone for the positive comments and encouragement! :lovestruc

Cheers
