Greetings!

I thought I'd take advantage of the journal option for the site, since I'm bored at work and can't wait to get home to start Simming again!

I've been a Simmer since April of 2000, when I heard there was a "game" that allowed you to build houses and play around with them. I had always had a thing for architecture and used to draw floor plans in my spare time. I also love dollhouses, not for the 'playing house' part of it, but because everything is on a miniature scale - the same for model train sets.

I fell completely in love with The Sims the moment I started up my first game. I probably spent the first few weeks building houses - not even experiencing the gameplay value. But once I created my first Sim and actually "lived" in the houses I was creating, the whole thing came to life for me. Then I fell in love with the Sims themselves. The humor and character put into the game never failed to surprise and entertain me.

Here I am 11 years later, still in love with the game.
