Description: Updates on content shared between DzMD and Mod the Sims
View Comments View Downloads
While the first webcomic is still in production, I've been brainstorming about sequels. I've got plans now to make a total of five QBG stories - the longest chain of film-logical stories I've ever come up with. (Sodality and Stationery Voyagers are about tied for TV-logical length right now.)
Following QGB1, there's the sequel Orangutans of Fire, where Col. Flix and his Topaz team must team up with Col. Roto and his Ruby team to save Mexico from the Pyrangutan's Lord Incendimore. This is followed up by Beneath the Golden Dome, where the traitorous Gorilla known as Veyour unleashes an ancient evil buried beneath the Dome on the Rock. These are, in turn, followed by Civil War.
When Col. Flix gets too injured to remain in field command of Topaz Division amidst a rebellion brought on by a disgruntled Hibblewinn, Topaz Division must save the future Gorilla queen, Mazicha, from Hibblewinn's forces with the aid of a stand-in named Relish. But does Relish have what it takes to replace Flix as the new Topaz Colonel?
Finally, there's Obliteration. This story sees a new breed of Ice Chimps manage to take over Washington DC. Martial law is declared across America, and the Qilantan nation is forced to relocate to Montana's wilderness to make its last stand against a rogue US government that sent in black ops to destroy every single other Q-Base on the planet. Most of the Qilantans have been made human again with the aid of the Alleviator; but the few that are still Gorillas must fight on if they wish to save America from Lord Milabari's Ice Chimp legions. Can the Gorillas stave off extinction long enough to end the Chimps' cold-hearted occupation, or is total obliteration the Gorillas' ultimate fate?
Characters which can be made in Sims 4 are being given art in that format for the wiki. However, the series for the time being is continuing to be developed in Sims 3. It's a slow-going process, because of my daytime work. But in about ten days, I will get to find out how much more free time I do or don't have.

More memes on the way.
Date Posted: 3rd Dec 2014 at 6:43 AM
I'd like to thank those who showed interest in my re-creation of Overly Attached Girlfriend. I'm considering also doing Overly Manly Man, Bad Luck Brian, Karate Kyle, Idiot Nerd Girl, Sudden Clarity Clarence, and Most Interesting Man. If a future expansion allows for creating various animals, I'll consider Malicious Advice Mallard, Paranoid Parrot, Philosoraptor, and Insanity Wolf.
If you have a request, please leave a comment to this journal entry and I'll look into it.
Update: If you want to get her now, you can get her here.

Another meme on the way, and more
Date Posted: 28th Nov 2014 at 7:59 AM
Recently submitted the Overly-Attached Girlfriend meme character to the queue. Here's hoping she's approved.
The Gorillas' chapter 1 stage is almost complete. Young Flix looks almost as cool as his older self.
I may be out of the "office" for a few days.

Progress on Gorillas Machinomic
Date Posted: 25th Nov 2014 at 6:41 AM
The Q-Basic Gorillas machinomic in Sims 3 is underway. The wiki has been revised, but will undergo more revision in time to reflect changes.
Below are the chapter titles I've figured out:
1. The Once Princess and Future Colonel: A brief introduction to the Gorillas' world. As well as the origins of the young Flix, and how he was first set on the path to become Col. Flix. 2. Southern Exposition: Flinger and Daesha attempt to guard a base in Antarctica, but are ambushed by Quirini and Aliyan's forces. 3. Atypical Days at Offices: Stacey Mirafuentes finds herself being stalked by Pighat, while Capt. Warrin's National Guard base is destroyed by the Ice Chips. 4. Aqhat's Feline Fun Fest: Aqhat reveals to Stacey that she's of importance to him, and will remind her by turning her loved ones into cats - starting with her boyfriend Rob Calisome. 5. Pighat Fought the Law, and She Won: Stacey's attempts to lose Pighat nearly result in her getting arrested; but the refusal of Lansing Twp. police to believe that a flying, grenade-wielding chimpanzee in an ice suit is the reason for Stacey's careless driving gets a lot of officers killed. Stacey uses the distraction to escape. 6. All About the Omni: After Pighat finds herself unable to locate Stacey, Aqhat gets intel from Niqmad and encourages Pighat to rendezvous with him to track Stacey down. Meanwhile, Stacey goes home and learns from a DVD sent by her uncle George everything about the Gorillas' most sacred object: the Omni Transmogrin. And a little about the history of Qilantan Society. She also learns that she was entrusted with the Omni - the present George had mailed to her. Not long after, Niqmad and Pighat attempt to shake her down for the Omni. She's rescued by Pvt. Burrpatch of the Topaz Gorilla Division, frustrated that his usual reinforcements couldn't make it. Burrpatch is unable to stop Niqmad from stealing the Omni, but does manage to neutralize Pighat as a threat. 7. Aliyan and Church Don't Mix: Based on a tip that Stacey's mother Anna was the next target of Aqhat and the Felinus Transmogrin, Burrpatch clears up a misunderstanding with Warrin and then has a rendezvous with Screechie and BB to defend a church from the Ice Chimps. However, the Chimps prove too numerous and soon outnumber and overwhelm the few Gorilla reinforcements that were able to arrive in time. Aqhat's visor is damaged, forcing him to retreat. However, Aliyan seizes opportunity of the chaos to make the Ice Chimps' existence known to the world. 8. Origin of the Q-Base: The Gorillas are forced to retreat, and Stacey gets to meet more of them. She also gets to learn more about the history of Col. Flix, and of all the Gorillas in particular. She forms a bond of friendship with Burrpatch, her initial protector. Debuting in this chapter are Abelina, Akilina, Jaac, Jenica, and Pawell. As Stacey goes to bed, Akilina goes out on night patrol with BB to learn more. Burrpatch and the others at the base discuss how serious the situation has become. 9. Quirini Learns the Omni's Rules: Trying not to draw attention to themselves, BB and Akilina do sufficient recon to learn where the Ice Chimps have set up their base in Lansing. However, they fear that the Chimps are moving too quickly for an assault on the base to matter. BB relays the information while Akilina fights a Chimp to the death that would have blown her and BB's cover. Lord Quirini gloats over having the Omni in his possession, but learns that its operation is a little more complicated than that of the Felinus. With Niqmad's help, he also manages to capture Tom Torrin and George Mirafuentes. He has Tom executed and then tortures George to learn why the Omni won't work for him. George finally reveals that Quirini can't operate the Omni without Stacey. 10. Snatching Stacey: Stacey awakes to find something itchy on her leg. The Gorillas learn that it's a tracking bug, and race her out to town before the bug can be fully activated and used to betray their secret location to Quirini. Niqmad manages to stay one step ahead, and an army descends on Stacey's Gorilla escort. They capture her and take her to Quirini. He has George turned into a cat, before rigging the Omni to Stacey so she can be his slave to make the Omni do his bidding. The reinforcements that Burrpatch called for arrive from all across the United States and Canada, so the Gorillas decide to make their stand in Lansing. 11. Lansing Kitty Hall: A major battle ensues, and the Gorillas fight to take Lansing back from the Ice Chimps. The tide turns back and forth constantly as Gorillas and Chimps battle for supremacy, destroying much of the city beneath them. Aqhat and Aliyan both have fun with the Felinus Transmogrin by turning everyone in City Hall into a cat. Quirini starts shooting random pedestrians with the Omni, turning them into cats. BB kills Mishtam with a lucky hit. 12. The Return of Col. Flix: Col. Flix arrives with some reinforcements from Amethyst Division, fresh off the Russian front. The tide begins to turn in the Gorillas' favor, except that Quirini now has a history of battling Flix and is one of the few Chimps that can competently resist him in battle. In spite Flix being a one-ape army, he finds himself equally matched with Quirini. Stacey attempts to turn the tide with a distraction, which results in her destroying the Omni and nearly killing herself. This buys Flix enough time to fake out and defeat his adversary, giving the Gorillas their long-sought-after victory. 13. Cautious Optimism: Stacey awakes at the Q-Base, along with everyone close to her whose lives she saved by endangering her own. It's revealed that Abelina didn't survive. Flix looks forward to the future with a sense of hope, given Quirini and the Omni are both destroyed. But at the same time, he thinks ahead to the fact that he has not yet received final word from Ruby Division about the fate of the Pyrangutans. The sequel, Q-Basic Gorillas: Orangutans of Fire, is teased.
I have a template for DSHW in place, and can soon begin building page structures. Text for each page will need to be figured out in a script, along with planned images for screen capture in the game. Once these are in place, "filming" can take place. Each panel will have to be carefully planned out.
It is entirely possible, however, that I can finish the entire thing in five months. And can have a first chapter on MTS by the end of January.

Q-Basic Gorillas: The Machinomic
Date Posted: 23rd Nov 2014 at 7:23 AM
It has been suggested by Heaven and CamKitty that my Q-Basic Gorillas fanfic be turned into a machinomic on this site. I'm willing to take them up on the machinomic offer.
Unfortunately, I was unable to make the files work for an upload to MTS. But they can still be downloaded here for those who feel they simply must have them. The Sims3Pack files have been scanned and packaged carefully, so nothing objectionable should be inside. Follow the advice on the posting for links to their weapons and accessories. Their extra fur is a Photoshop brush: triple-blade-of-grass, with one paint color being black and the other #484848.
I am figuring out a production schedule. I suspect the first story to take five months to adapt to a machinomic. I should be able to finish the first chapter before Christmas. I'll make progress reports as necessary.
In the mean time, for those interested, I've got a song on AmIRight about it, set fittingly enough to a Stan Bush tune.
Update: She has been submitted here to the moderation queue. It was very hard to find any good comparison images, since most SCP fanart consists of chibis. If approved, she'll mark the second success I've had with Sims 4.

Sims 4 poll

Like with my Sims 3 poll below, this is my Sims 4 poll. Simply comment to vote on which item you most want to see on MTS.
DzMD Sims 4 items, may be shared on MTS
Ciem costume (It's a little crude, and comes with a luchador mask, but it's a Ciem suit all the same.)
Sid Ranhofer from Citric Sid (Note: While a Dozerfleet property, he's currently a Sims 4-exclusive.
The Godfather: Vito Corleone (I can now create a more-film-accurate version, now that I have Sims 4 Studio and the actual game.)
Cast of Inception (Note: Ariadne doesn't have her scarf. Set contains Dom, Mal, Ariadne, Yusef, Saito, Fischer, Eames, and Arthur.)
Cast of Sharknado (Note: Sharks, tornadoes, and weapons not included. Set contains Fin, Baz, Nova, April, and Claudia.)
Turtle Man from The Master of Disguise (Note: Pistachio's other forms not included.)

Set does not include Carlos or Anders, Hebbleskin Gang members who infiltrate the Houston base with stolen SCALLOP combat uniforms in season 2.)
Grillitan Diner Sign (pending methods)
For the time being, Stationery Voyagers items for Sims 4 will be DzMD-exclusive, as will most Gerosha content not listed here.
Again, just leave a comment to vote on which of these you'd most like to see on MTS. Most - if not all - of the items listed above, will be on DzMD regardless.
Note: DzMD uses multi-family-member tray and .package files, similarly to Sims Resource. MTS uses .package and single-family-member tray files. This may lead to delays in MTS releases from DzMD releases, given the file format regulation differences.
* "SCALLOP" stands for "Security-Centric Alliance Lending and Learning Of Phaelites." It's a long story, going back to Sims 2-era aliens. The green-skinned defaults based on Pollination Technician were re-worked in the mythos as "Phaelites," with original "graphite-ish" skintone becoming their rivals, the "Meethlites."

Inception now on DzMD for Sims 2 and 3
Date Posted: 13th Nov 2014 at 11:41 PM
I now have Inception Sims available for Sims 2 and 3 on DzMD. A Sims 4 set is on its way as well. Right now, I'm building the index pages for Sims 3 and 4. I suspect to have the TS3 index completed some time before the end of tonight. Uploads will be pulled from the old Utterly Sims blog, until everything there has been vacated. Then, Utterly Sims will be deleted and Dozerfleet Labs' official blog will be the new home for all Dozerfleet Sims Collection items. All Sims 4 items will be located there, though I do intend to share more of them on MTS. In my last post, I issued a poll to see what you'd like to see most. Just leave comments on that post to vote from the options given.
