Okay I'm a Little Bit Confused, and Kind of Thrilled

Date Posted: 4th Oct 2012 at 11:48 AM

Some of you may know I was banned from MTS 2 years ago. The reason for the ban was because I converted -Maylin-'s tardis to The Sims 3 without her permission, in fact she told me not to, and shared it on other sites including TSR. I know that was a very, very poor choice in judgment. I was still learning meshing back then, and Sims 3 was still in it's infancy somewhat, so I wasn't sure about conversions, but that's no real defense. I also began to get a big backlash for uncredited turbosquid models I have shared in the past. Well I have definatley learned my lesson since then. I uploaded very few conversions by other creators unless given their direct permission, and only shared models from other non-sim related sites if requested while giving proper credit. When the ban was first put into place, it said that I was banned for 2 years. This is something I noticed that only I could see. Delphy posted in the graveyard that I would be banned permanently. I posted yesterday morning in Site Issues that I was a little confused about me being able to log in and post (even upload, but I didn't say that) here, and haven't heard any response from any moderator or Delphy or well, anyone at all so far. So I really don't know what to think. I'm a little delightfully stunned that I'm back. I hope that it lasts and is not a temporary ban lift. I'd like to be a part of MTS again.

Thank You!

Date Posted: 4th Aug 2010 at 1:21 AM

Thank you all for your support! Because of you I now have 14 picked downloads, 452 of you have added me to your favorite creator's list, you have downloaded my files 717,264 times (and counting), and I have received 55,060 thanks by way of the thanks button. I still don't have a featured upload *yet* but it's something I have wanted ever since I began sharing with mts. Most likely because most of my things are single items or small sets, or if they are game mods, are small annoyance fixes. Regardless of that, I still am very proud of those stats! It has been a long journey as a creator, I retired from mts for a year, then came back better (and more talented) than ever. All of the criticism and sometimes rejections from mts has made me grow instead of some people who would have just stopped uploading to mts. I have learned new things that before I thought I would never be able to do such as game mods, meshing, and creating new foods. I just wanted to send out a big thank you to all of mts for your continued support, and I can't wait to see what the future brings!

Sims 2!

Date Posted: 29th Jun 2010 at 4:01 AM

For now, I'd like to focus my attention on creating for The Sims 2. Sims 3, I like some aspects of it, but for the most part, Sims 2 is much more prettier, and cleaner as far as graphics. My Sims 2 runs like a dream on this old machine, and I genuinely have more fun playing The Sims 2 than The Sims 3. So please don't be upset, I do plan on returning to The Sims 3 some day, but for now, I'm having way too much fun with 2 to stop.

Tip: Cloning when making global mods in the sims 2

Date Posted: 9th Nov 2009 at 7:46 AM

The best way to clone when making game mods, speficially global mods is to first check set defaults, and then simply uncheck the FIRST option only. If you are making a default replacement make sure EVERY box is NOT checked.

Deleting Many of my older creations to preserve quality

Date Posted: 29th Sep 2009 at 1:44 AM

I just got through going through most of my earlier work and deleting it. The reason for this is, these things would not be approved if I were to submit them now due to mts quality creator guidelines. A lot of my earlier work got very hard criticism in the community, most of my earlier creations were featured in worst sims finds on gardenofshadows (GOS), and a lot of people started complaining to Delphy about the quality of my creations which led him to put me on upload restriction a few years ago.

Now I really honestly think that I have made huge improvements since those early days of my career. For one thing, I learned how to do difficult things that I never would have dreamed I would ever learn to do, such as creating game mods, meshes, careers, and things like that. The staff members and Delphy have made it clear that I post everything in creator feedback before uploading, and I'm completley fine with that. Because something that may look fine to me to begin with, may be something that would be totally unusable to most people.

If I have deleted one of your favorite uploads, I apologize, but looking back the quality was greatly lacking in those things. Now that I have the help of people in creator feedback, I can safely say that my creations are now considered good enough to be on mts. Now I didn't go through and delete everything in all my earlier creations, just the ones that I felt were poor quality. If you think I should have deleted something that I didn't delete, sorry, but it's staying because I like it.

Most of what I deleted were things like skintones, walls and floors, hair recolors, and photo realistic painting recolors.

Build Mode Catalog All Walls and Floors in the Base Game:

Date Posted: 16th Jun 2009 at 6:38 PM

I was very disappointed when trying to find a list of all base game walls and floors, that there was no such list on the internet, it wasn't even in my prima guide! So I decided to make my own list. I plan to do all EPs and SPs , but for now I just have the base game done. I decided to post here because this is kind of like a game-play tip for the sims 2. This content list is great for lot builders, so they know for sure what they are including is base game compatible for downloaders. So without further adieu, here is the list of all base game walls and floors. They are sorted how they appear in the catalog form cheapest to most expensive:

Since this list takes up the maximum space allowed in a post, I will attach a link to the file. It's a notepad file, so you shouldn't have any problems reading it.

Teen/Elder Careers

Date Posted: 28th Apr 2009 at 1:37 AM

I just decided to break my previous rule of only creating adult careers. I had some trepidation about creating Teen/Elder careers because I wasn't quite sure about how teens would go to school, as well as work, but I see now from testing it, that teens go to work after they go to school. And this works for all teen careers. So I do plan to write some more teen/Elder careers soon.
