Well, it's been a rough year or so. Medication issues had me almost hospitalized for much of last year, and I was slowly, but steadily, going downhill until they finally took me off the meds in September. What a difference in my life!
In the past year, I didn't post or do much anywhere. Frankly, my heart was willing, but my head was all over what I was going through physically, and the worry was just killing me. But I'm hoping to be back to content creation, although now, I apparently need to learn a whole new system for Sims 3. Lots of research to do!
The first thing I intend to do is check compatibility of my old wallpaper collection to see if it will work with Sims 3, and if it doesn't, update it to a version which will. (Don't worry, I'll keep the Sims 2 version up as well). I suppose I'll have to make the decision about whether to continue making content for Sims 2. If it isn't too different, or difficult, it might just be worth it to release for both platforms. I know that there are times when I still play the Sims 2, because I love OFB, and it isn't available for Sims 3. I know they integrated some of that into the base game of Sims 3, but it's not quite as... versatile?... functional?.. I'm not sure. It doesn't "feel" as good to me.
I have a lot of things I'd like to do this year, so we'll see how far I go. More blog posts to my personal blog, research into non-profit organizations (and possibly opening one), work on my video game, and more work as a fine artist, are all high on my list. Continued self-improvement is a must, (I'm now going through, "How to Think Like Leonardo DaVinci", by Michael Gelb), and of course, I'd like to continue with my various hobbies - roleplaying, content creation, and so forth.
Wish me luck!
