A few people who have been using the mod have said on Kolipoki's thread that it doesn't work with Ambitions, so apparently it is not working for everyone.

Thanks Chez for updating this.

Thank you so much!!

Is it possible to get this mod to affect the Ambitions careers as well; those not located in rabbitholes. E.g the Private Investigator career (I really dislike their choice of clothing for that one).

If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

Will this work with the latest patch without Ambitions installed? Or do I have to have Ambitions?

I'd love to use this mod and Ambitions, but Ambitions crashes constantly. :/

I was thinking about this myself as well. Basically the Careers file that I made the mod from only deals with the careers in the rabbit holes. There will be another file that deals with the Ambitions careers - I'll try to find it and change it as well.

The mod was created from the careers file within the Ambitions GameplayData package, so I think you would definitely have to have Ambitions, particularly as there is an extra career. Kolipoki's original mod of this would cover the base game and World Adventures, but I'm not sure about the latest patch. If Kolipoki's mod doesn't work for you, let me know and I'll update the correct Careers package for you.

I have located the file for the Ambitions careers such as the PrivateEye and Firefighter - it is within the ActiveCareers file within the GameplayData package. However after editing that ActiveCareers file and testing it in the game, I am finding that even though it works fine for sims starting new careers without wearing uniforms, the sims already on the ambitions careers are still wearing the uniforms, and the only way around this so far is to make them quit the career and start a new one. Will keep working on this.

there could be the issue of mod incompatability. in other words a previously installed mod conflicting with this newer mod. there is a program to check for mod incapability here (programs and utilities tab). or click this link: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=386891
i ran this after installing the nouniform mod and it detected no conflicts. however, this mod did cause my game to crash (have all iterations of sims3). uninstalled it and game ran fine. i use awesome mod and possibly others, but haven't bothered to keep track.

You've probably another mod that edits the Careers file. I don't actually have awesome mod myself, so haven't been able to test whether it is compatible. But there would only be a conflict with awesome mod if part of that mod dealt with Careers.

It would be better if they still had the option to wear their uniforms. . . Like it would be stupid if an astronaut went to work in high heels and a mini skirt, or a cop in ripped jeans and a tank top, or a 5 star chef to wear a mini dress. . . Would it be possible to still have the put on uniform option on the dresser? cause I would like to wear a custom work uniform for like a teacher or a sim in politics. . .

This mod basically deletes the wearing of uniforms from the Careers file, anything regarding choices in putting on the uniforms would need some kind of other code/programming, which is beyond my capabilities unfortunately.

Basically I'd follow what kenjai111 suggested instead.

Just wanted to let you know that Kolipoki's original mod has been working just fine for me. I'll be back to get your mod once I finish building my new PC and install Ambitions. Thanks!

Is it possible to modify this so that it only effects those two careers? Thanks!

I tried editing the ambitions careers file to get rid of the uniforms, but sadly every attempt just ended up with only a half-working mod: in order to get rid of the uniforms sims had to quit their careers and start a new one, but even with this it didn't always work, so sadly I ended up having to quit at attempting to create a mod to get rid of the amibitions outfits. Hopefully someone else can find a way to do this.

Not sure if it works with Late Night yet, it would depend on if there are any new "rabbit-hole" jobs. However I will be updating the mod when I get Late Night.

Just thought, I let you know: It does not work with LN. Rabbitholes can't be placed anymore

I noticed the same with the new patch (without LN), so am guessing this mod is obsolete for now.

*edit* - updated for latest patch - rabbit holes working again
