I knew at the latest when you synchronized the speakers that you were only one step away from this mod. Love you for this! Thank you so much! :lovestruc

You'd really think EA would've sorted this out on their own. Thanks for sorting it out for them.

Hi! Just wanted to say all of your DJ mods are amazing and really helpful in making my sims’ nightclub experiences more immersive. I wanted to know if you have looked into making the telesplosion function automatic? I hate that I can only enable that when a sim that I am controlling is DJing, but if I hire a DJ at a club, telesplosion is never enabled.

Thanks!

Do you think you can update this to be compatible with custom music?
After installing this mod, custom music no longer plays. I kept skipping to get to a custom song, but all I get is default songs. So I disabled ALL of the default music that came with the game in settings, and it was completely silent. I turned all the music volumes all the way up, and all I heard from the stereo was complete silence.

It works with custom music. It's no different than any lot speaker. If you hear silence when it goes to play a custom song then try Shift+Left Clicking one of the speakers and reset the object.

You're right I guess I never noticed. I can make something so that it comes on automatically whenever anyone uses the DJ booth.

Love it but having issues with suggestion
Thank you, I was really hoping someone would make something like this. It works okay but I have a few problems and a suggestion:

First Issue:

I'm actually having the same problem with custom music with just the NuDisco station. With your mod installed, it will only play the NuDisco music from the game while it plays the custom music fine on Blues, Alternative, Electronica, and Pop. I tested to make sure it was just coming from your mod by moving all my mods to the desktop while keeping yours in the folder. After I did this, still no custom NuDisco music.

Second Issue:
Also I noticed the menu shows up with empty stations at first but after I hit "more choices" it looks normal:

When I removed your mod, custom NuDisco music came back and the menus looked normal.

Suggestion:
While your mod improves the gaming experience with synced music throughout a lot, I noticed that before that can happen I have to set every single speaker/stereo to the particular station I want synced. This can get really tedious. It would be helpful if this mod would automatically sync stations from the beginning without me having to change the stations at first, like how it was in Sims 2. Also, when I change stations, the stations don't change in sync. Is it possible to modify this so that stations change in sync? Hope that makes sense.

I just tried custom music in the NuDisco folder and experienced the same thing as you, it wouldn't play. I started a brand new game without any mods at all. Since the mod just changes the normal station to the community lot station, I went to a bar and placed a couple of NuDisco community lot speakers. Sure enough the custom music still wouldn't play. Unfortunately, it seems like an issue with the game itself where you can't play custom music from the NuDisco community lot speakers. As for the null strings, did they show up blank when you just had my mod installed or with others?
I would love to have my speakers sync up like they did in previous versions of the game too, I think we all would. Instead we got the Sims 4. Maybe there's a way but I'm not sure. It's the best I can do right now :/

Okay thanks for trying. Yes the null strings show up when I had just your mod installed. As for custom NuDisco I may just have to move the custom songs to a different station for now.

Also occurs for me with normal stereos, and without the Nightlife DLC (I think that's what you're talking about). I have custom music on the alternative station. The proper stations do show up eventually in the pie menu via the more button, but they are interspersed with a bunch of blank strings. Not sure if the custom music itself is working.

Tried and failed.

I know the game can see the custom music because it shows up in options menu. It just won't play.

Also sorry for not mentioning this before, the station that I was having this problem with was the island music from Island Living.

Are there plans for this mod to be updated for the newest eco patch?

This mod could do with a small update as it makes the text on the s-pop station blank since the last update

It works but there are definitely some issues with some of the game packs and newer updates.. Nudisco no longer works with custom music, and some stations are missing the text. It functions still but some parts are broken and some stations no longer play.

Still works for the most part BUT desperately needs updating. Some stations don't show or don't have names, some don't play custom music, some don't play at all sometimes. One thing that's a bit inconvinient as well would be that the song always switches as soon as you turn on another radio on the same channel. Other than that, it still works great as of April 20th 2021
