Its listed in the FAQ rules that you have to include all 10 levels here in the post. :D

Okay. I want to go on record saying that I think that rule sucks, because I don't want to know the levels of the career before I start playing. I think it takes the element of fun and surprise out of it, especially since the readme notes are in the .zip file for anyone who wants to be spoiled. (Just my opinion. Don't start throwing rocks just yet.) However, since it's a rule, and this isn't my personal website, I'll comply, even if it is a killjoy, 'cause I like to play nice. :D

Well, people do want to know the levels before downloading at times. And you may say they could see the readme. But what about those with dial up? It might be a hassle for them to download a 300kb file just to see a readme. Oh well, might as well just follow the rules eh? At least we dont have to show our chance cards.

Hehe. Great Career! And p00jkins, that's true. This reminds me now that I got to finish my Career! o.o I forgot all about it when I got out of college and started working. Ooops. a PBX Operator is not a fun job

hmm this career replaces the military career. I checked both using the Clean Installer and checking it ingame. I wrote down all the careers that showed up before I removed the American Idol career and I checked it after. Military came back after it was removed. ^^ Pls fix it soon I'd really love to try this out.

Since it was based on the Athletic career and the GUID is assigned to the AI career, I'm not 100% sure that it's the AI career that's doing that, Strawberrie. I still have the military career on my end, as does my girlfriend and my mother, who were the original beta testers for this. Have you tried boolprop and clicking on the newspaper to see if the military career is still available or have you been looking on the game computer.

Has anyone else had this problem?

OMG! Thank you so much. I've always wanted my sims to be in any kind of signing career and also my cousin will be so happy for this. I am like addicted to the sim 2 but my cousin...woah! {LoLeRz}

Does it seriously replace the military career? If it does I won't download, if it doesn't I will download

It seriously does not replace the Military career. I checked my game, my mother's and my girlfriend's, and the Military career is still intact. I'm not certain as to how it would replace the Military career as it was based off the Athletic career. But if you use boolprop, and shift-click on the newspaper, you'll have a listing of all the careers available, and Military should be there as well as American Idol.

it doesn't replace millitary career but in the one house i had it in, the bus for kids stopped coming after i made the mom have this career. The bus still works with all of my other houses in the neighborhood without this career. Just a heads-up!

Have you checked the rest of your hacks to be sure that this isn't a problem? No one else has reported this problem that actively uses the career, so be sure that you don't have any other glitches.

I'm looking to update this career sometime in the coming week or so - does anyone have suggestions or things they'd like to see in the next version?

I downloaded this hack also. My buses still come, but the nanny, and the food delivery person won't come.

You'll need a WinZIP program to unzip downloads here.

As far as the (fill in the NPC) not coming, I'm still not having a problem with this, nor are the people I recruited to test it out on their own systems. As it's based on the Athletic career, there's nothing customized inside except the crappy icon I used, so I can't think of any reason why it would conflict with NPCs arriving. If you've removed the hack and all your NPCs start showing up on time, then all I can say is... well, you'll live without the career, I promise.
