You only need a fix listed at the bottom of the thread if your spell book is causing your sim to reset. My mods don't fix that.

Hmm. Did you delete your scriptcache before starting the game? Also, are you using any other mods, and if so, do those mod work?

Yes. When you add new mods to your game, it's best to delete the scriptcache file found in The Sims 3 folder, to ensure that the changes are loaded. Try deleting the scriptcache.

For more information about deleting caches, see: Delete Cache Files

Yeah, this bug happens to many people and is not related to my mod. Please read the section: Other Problems with your Spell book? and go to the part where it says: " If your spell book is causing you grief by making your sim reset"

I bought the spellbook from the store, and it has never worked for me, not once; my sim has always popped out of the interaction. So I'm thrilled to have your advice about how to fix that, in addition to the mods.

I downloaded the Better Spell Casting and Reviewing, but does not work (I chose the Spell_1)

What doesn't work? The sim fails when it casts a spell?

Do other mods work? If not, check your framework.
How did you install the spell book? Via the launcher or with a package file?

How did you make the longer magic buff mod? I'm really curious about how to make mods that change the buffs for the premium items. I tried opening the 30 day magic buff mod in s3pe, but the tag is unknown and there's nothing in the text area. It works just fine, but I'm curious how you did it and what you edited. Can you enlighten me? Thank you

What package editor are you using? If it is s3pe, please go download the newest version (either release or QA version). Then you'll be able to edit the resource (it's a BUFF resource) and you'll see all the various store buffs involved.

Take note that the the way EA has made the store buffs mean that, in order to use a store buff mod, you'll need to make sure that you every custom store buff in the same package file, if you want the buffs for all premium content to load properly. Each premium content item has a BUFF resource which has the exact same resource key as all other premium content items. When you install them via the launcher, the aluncher created a ccmerged.package, which merges all custom buffs from premium content into one package. This is why all the buffs need to be present in one buff file, if you make a buff mod. I hope this makes sense If it's confusing, just use the buff file from this mod, or from the premium content fix at MATY. Alternatively, you can create the mod using the BUFF resource in the ccmerged.package in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCBackup

Sorry for the slow reply, by the way. I've been out in the middle of the woods on a lake for the weekend

I will take another look. Bit did you put this mod in your overrides folder? You will need to do that.
