How does this work with Ice Cream's hybrids here on MTS? https://modthesims.info/d/647863/al...stabilizer.html

From what I see in that mod's description, there shouldn't be an effect, assuming I'm reading it right and their trait tracker modification just edits which commodities are displayed. These vampire bloodline traits just apply modifiers to commodities but don't change which commodities the Sim has, so I can't immediately think of any issues. Earlier in testing I had an issue where it would be overridden by the Spellcaster bloodline trait when one of each had a child, but I tested it again and it seems fine.

First-gen Vampire + First-gen Spellcaster child got both Weak bloodlines as a hybrid. Their child having a child with a first-gen mermaid ended up with a Strong Vampire + Spellcaster, and a Weak mermaid one (I already made that one as well but it's still in its way for release).

First-gen Vampire + First-gen Alien had the Weak Vampire Bloodline trait just fine.

Of course, didn't try out every single possible combination, but it seems to be working fine with hybrids at the moment. Let me know if you see any issues.

For me, it unpacks the file normally.
Maybe this a better?

Yeah, I'd never had trouble with zips before so not sure what was going on. But yep, this one worked. Thank you so much. :D

I have some feedback for potential grammatical mistakes. The weak vampire bloodline trait is perfectly fine, no need to correct anything there. Though the strong and ancient bloodline traits could use a little work. For example, the strong bloodline description could say "grow much slower than the norm." And the ancient bloodline could say "grow a lot slower than the norm." For the ancient trait description, you'll want to lose the "a" prefix, being as it causes the description to be grammatically incorrect. In its current state, that is. "grow a lot slower" would be the proper use for the description.

Thanks. Could have sworn I'd written "a bit" on all of them but I apparently ate the "bit" of Ancient for dinner. Either way, fixed that and changed the phrasing of that part to be slightly different in each bloodline.^^

This mod and the Mermaid trait mod are excellent ideas! I was thinking why Mermaids and Vampires did not have similar traits that the Witches had. Will you be planning to create similar traits for Aliens? They may not be an occult, but they definitely are unique. Awesome work on these traits!

Thanks. And I'm working on it! The difficulty I've been having is that while Vampires use dark energy and Mermaids spend hydration, Aliens aren't that straight-forward in terms of rewards, and I can't just mirror the Spellcaster inheritance rules for them since their children aren't always Aliens, so it's taking a bit longer. It's probably going to be some trial-and-error to make sure Alien-Sims etc. can get it. Overall it's turning out a bit different from these two. Sorry for the delay.

I think Aliens would be viewed as geniuses with an affinity toward electronics and probably would do well in science careers. I understand and would love to see how that is coming along.

Looks great! I do have a question/suggestion, though: do the bloodline traits apply to the vampire sims' progeny (other sims they've turned into vampires) as well as children, or just their children? Because I think that, at least for vampires, adding the bloodline traits to their progeny as well as their actual children would make sense, since in a lot of media a "vampire bloodline" refers purely to who turned who. It is your choice, of course. I just think it would be cool if an ancient vampire's bloodline benefits passed onto anyone they turned. Vlad Straud's progeny should have a bit more vampy power than someone turned by Joe Schmo with fangs, y'know?

Hi. Inheritance traits function (quite literally) just by being inherited, since it follows the same rules as Spellcaster bloodlines. However, I can think of a few ways in which it might be possible to make them pass to offspring. I'll have to check later. Currently still working on Aliens, but we'll see.

Edit: Added.

Alright, made it. Also tried my best at fixing Nyx's Enhanced Aliens in order to have an option for less-boring Aliens. It'll have two versions, one will be compatible with Nyx's Brain Power. Both my edit of Nyx's Enhanced Aliens and the new Alien Bloodlines are on their way!

Aliens probably would get a hit on their Fun motives if they haven't interacted with a few items that probably make sense to them: telescope, computer, rocket ship, use alien ray gun to cause havoc (if they have the Evil and/or Mischief traits or give a good hive feeling to the neighborhood if they have the Good trait. They don't have the brain energy like their counterparts in Sims 3. I miss that part of their occult - brain energy. They used to eat minerals or rocks to regain their brain power.

Awesome! I look forward to seeing what you have done so far with this potential mod!

Took a while since I accidentally went down a rabbithole on the broken Nyx mods, but anyway, Vampire bloodlines should now have proper conflict with each other. Will soon do the same with mermaids. Thanks for bringing this up.

Hello Could You add a second version of this mod without a script? The latest version with the script causes my LE, the previous version without the script worked normally and I reinstalled it again

Mod Constructor generated the script hence why I included it, honestly not sure what it's even supposed to do. Going to test without it. Can you tell me if the LE had any specific attributes or what triggered it?

Edit: I threw the ts4script in the trash and the mod still worked just fine from my testing so uhm yeah not sure why that even got spawned, unless I'm missing something it should work fine without the script, but uploaded a new .zip without it.^^

If the vampire is born in-game, they'll inherit a bloodline depending on their parent (following the same rules as spellcasters for Weak -> Strong -> Ancient except the occult in this case is vampire).

If your vampire sim has created a vampire in-game, then they'll get the option to recognize their offspring vampire as a social interaction.

If the child was born, or an offspring was turned, prior to the mod being installed, you'll have to use the cheats to give them the traits.

Salut salut,
I don't have the Vampires pack but as I love your mods, I tried to translate this one too. I translated Toggle Emotional Dampening too.

I hope everything is good. I usually make some mistakes that I notice when I play. (donc si des francophones passent par là, n’hésitez pas à me faire des retours.)
