Yay, it's here, thanks for giving more life to our pets Echo Weaver!
"(seriously, what did the devs have against cats??) " < right?! Outrageous how little cats have to do in this game, like seriously they do more than sleeping, grooming and following people for food... right? or is my crazy cat lady self biased here, haha.
"New interaction: Take to Vet." < this is phenomenal!! And the relationship boost is icing on the cake, now pet lovers can really "take care" of their feline/canine friends in a practical, health-related dimension. That's what life simulation is all about!

Thanks for your beautiful and tenacious work on this mod!

Wow, that's so cool! Is there any possibility that the mod can be combined with the custom career veterinarian?

I'm not opposed to that, but I don't know the custom vet career or what it entails. I've toyed with making my own vet career in the style of the post-Ambitions doctor career with active pet clinics. That takes a lot of animation work, though. If the custom vet career is a rabbithole career, I'm not sure what I'd be able to do with it.

I really wish Sims 3 didn't break for me! If I can fix it I'll definitely be adding this to my game!

Oh no! I'm sorry TS3 is giving you problems. The testing you did was a huge help, and I really hope you'll get to use the finished mod at some point.

Thank you! Also, oh dear. I forgot to run STBL Duplicator. I knew I was going to make a mistake someplace. Thank you for pointing it out. I'm putting up your STBLs now.

Just assume, if there is a "heal injured animal" interaction on an object... And people who are veterinarians will use this interaction more autonomously?

This is close to my line of thinking too. The scripting would be pretty straightforward, but It would need animations. There might be some good ones that could be converted from TS4, but that's not something I do at the moment. Animations aren't my strength.

Maybe just use an animation that's already in TS3? As long as it looks like people are checking animals. In fact, even without animation, I personally would still love this interaction. Also, thank you for all you do for the pet system!

I suppose it's kinda against the point of this mod since it's focused on pets, but any plans to add the wound moodlets to fights between humans? This made me realize how much we're missing a Sims Medieval-style injury system... :P

I would also love to see this, it would definitely add some more drama to the game.

Good mod. Adopted a few dogs and made them fight it out. Two died. Thanks for making this mod.

I think I agree. It might be interesting to build a similar wound system for fights, martial arts sparring, and/or the swordfighting mod. At the risk of feeding my own ego, I really like how the wounds turned out, and there's nothing about them that requires the sims to be pets. I haven't played TSM, so I don't know how my wound system compares to theirs.

I also agree that this isn't the mod. Adding wounds like this to humans really should have more medical treatment options too, possibly with more conversions from TSM.

I have a suite of pets mods that are the "Pets Expansion Expansion" in my head, but I'm not dedicated to only being a pets modder. If there's interest, it might be fun to look at what a human fighting mod might look like.

Thank you for making this mod! I love it a lot and it makes my warriors roleplay so much more realistic and fun! My question is if you can make a version where wounds last for days instead of hours? Like a minor wound could last for a day, and a grave wound would last for 3-7 days?

You know, I didn't think about what this would look like with different lifespans. On a long lifespan, wound length would be trivial. The length of the wounds really should be tunable. I'll take a look at that.

I'm so excited to see Warriors roleplayers trying this out!!

They can fight and chase other sims (humans, dogs, or cats) off the lot when a human sim is not home.

I haven't tested it with burglars, and that would be a logical thing. I don't have any code to check for whether the target sim is a burglar. I'm not sure what it will do. I should look into using this mod with burglars.

I know this probably sounds like a silly question, but how would you feel about making an extra/optional feature where pets could have the ability to treat the wounds? I'm honestly only asking because this is perfect for my Warrior Cats challenge, and I'm curious if I could finally have a Medicine Cat?
