I only have 3 expansion packs, so I'm always feeling left out of the good stuff! But by making/converting alot of the stuff to base game or even 1 ep compatible, it really helps me out!!

This was the first CC I downloaded and it seems to be corrupted. I had to reinstall my sims app

Sorry to read you are having problems with this object.
Please give me more information on what happened - did your game crash and at what stage?
The first time you download and install custom content (approving custom content on loading screen before selecting your neighbourhood), it does not actually show in-game. Only wallpapers and floors created by Sims2 Homecrafter do. After loading the neighbourhood, you actually have to exit your Sims2 game again and then reload Sims2 again for content to show and be played in-game.
Did you do this?
The location of the fireplace is not in Build Mode as the fireplace has no chimney and can be found in Appliances/Miscellaneous - just in case you haven't checked there.
Please confirm you are playing with a Windows operating system and not MAC.

In the meantime, I will download the file and install it my own game again to check if the file is corrupted and update you.

I have downloaded and installed the zip.file (unzip and place folder in EA Games/Sims2/downloads folder) with both fireplaces and mirror and had no issue.


I think there has been a problem whilst you were downloading - possibly not fully downloaded?
I would ask you to re-download if you would still like the fireplaces.
