That's why I wish so much that they stop creating new content for this game so that modders can fix it. This won't help console players but at least people who are used to playing with mods.

So that modders can fix it, you say?

So many modders say that the reason their mods no longer work is because Maxis keeps changing the code. As soon as a mod fixes a problem, a new upgrade comes out which breaks it or something else, and we're right back to where we were before - frustratedly waiting until the modders can figure out what Maxis did and "fix" it again (which is the main reason the masses rise up against them). Things like this keeps me coming back to believing that EA/Maxis has from the beginning deliberately set out to eliminate as many mods as they can (and are no doubt truly happy that the masses rise up against the modders). There's no fixing if you're deliberately out to eliminate competition and/or cause division.

No they can fix it ONLY when EA stops creating new content for the game. That's my point. No new expansion pack, challenge or bug fixes from EA. Because with every new content or patch from them the game breaks even more. That's why it would be better to leave this game as is and let the modders fix it. But this won't happen as EA has stopped developing Sims 5. They don't want to risk losing the Sims 4 player base and thus are going to concentrate on this bugged game for the next years.

You never know what’s comin’ for ya.

According to Satch, they also jacked up the price of these kits as well. They're suddenly charging double for a kit?

If this is true and not some kind of website glitch, it is a sleazy move on EA's behalf. Charging more to cover the 5% commission.

Multi-billion dollar company acting like it is struggling with 5% of a frickin' TS4 kit. Where is the world's tiniest violin?

Agree, modders can fix it if EA/Maxis leaves it alone. But you and I and everyone else under the sun knows they will never do that as long as it's producing the milk - as the old saying goes, you don't kill the cow . . . Hence, stuff and packs are gonna keep coming and coming. There's no way EA/Maxis is going to allow modders to completely take over their cash cow, which indeed is paradoxical since they don't want to put enough energy into fixing it themselves though they want to get as much money out of it as they can. But I can see it - if the modders keep fixing it, more people will want to play it. Which gives them the opportunity to sell more stuff and packs for it. Which causes more issues the modders must fix. OK, very smart, EA.

Just took the latest "survey".

VERY interesting. Basically asking if you'd heard of Life & Death and if so why didn't you buy it?

Oh dear, did we not meet our sales targets....

(of course they could just be wanting to do some follow up)

♥ Receptacle Refugee ♥ Now playing Sims 4 but probably not for much longer.....

To be fair, so far that pack is praised and raised by the fandom for good reason. I do think it makes sales and they have no reason to worry about.

I do honestly hope them to keep up with such quality not just supernatural packs, or alas - do more SUPERNATURAL packs if it will always guarantee that in-depth gameplay. It looks lame that teens cant pull pranks on household items like they did in TS3 Generations.

On the subject of kits, @Gargoyle Cat didn’t they like releasing stuff packs or smth? If so, all I see is them turning kits into stuff pack.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

Based on how in depth and detailed Life & Death was compared to every. single. last. expansion pack since maybe Cottage Living, I'd say the budget was much higher than the others.

This especially true of the VERY DRAMATIC difference in quality between this and Lovestruck and all 500 of its patches. I wouldn't be surprised if many players were put off.
