Yeah, wanting a world that isn't a miserable piece of shit totally makes someone an unreliable loser. What an asshole. I wouldn't want to be in a situation where I had to associate with him/her.

Someone in the comments said.

The typical Simmer is the usual young adult age, but players skew strongly female — some stats suggest close to 60/40.

I guess that all the young uns are playing Sims 4.

Wow, such a precise stat! I even once read that people are usually around 10 to 70 years old if they play The Sims! ...

I wanted to copy the picture that accompanies this story, but the embedded coding won't let it be converted.

So here's the link to the story about a llama that was on the loose but returned home before the Animal Control officer got into the act.

The picture alone is adorable, and the llama knows it. Of course it's the game's one and only mascot, because why not?

TBH, I sometimes wonders where people are getting their stats from. I also play FFXIV and a lot of people on there are not young adult males.

Apparently, these unique sewing machine outfits (hmpartytime , hmnightout , hmskatepark and hmredcarpetlongdress ) that you can make with FreeTime are actually "CC". They were contest winners in a contest that EAxis hosted. They were included in FreeTime.
More information about the contest
It ran for 6 weeks and each week was a new theme, which for they gave a unique design kit for.
It reminds me of the NL contest they hosted.
Not sure if anyone else has posted this but I had been so confused for so long on why there are H&M outfits to sew as an option.

That, and the Freezer Bunny! How could we forget the Freezer Bunny.

Of course everyone knows how Sims 2 came to be-by way of Sim City.

This is an interesting essay on how Sim City isn't the model of reality or planning it was conceived to be, but just a libertarian toy that allows for the illusion of control.

Real life doesn't work that way.

This isn't anything new but I only discovered it today and it will be a game-changer for me: hidden catalog content.

Update: just tried the pool wall, I was finally able to achieve the effect I wanted here!

I found this on GOS by Zena Dew Drop and it is so awesome-it's a functional digital menu ordering board that can be used in a 'self-serve' capacity. It generates a meal within 15 spaces on a counter. It eliminates the folderol of having servers, hosts and cooks in a restaurant.

I've put this in a 'McDonald's' shell and it is autonomous by both playables and non-playables.
