If you have quarter tile placement on, you can place the Space Columns inside the walls and they stick out on either side, so you can make designs or support beams or something. (I'd recommend it on a back exterior wall because the columns are visible in wall cutaways.)

I haven't really played around with the designs much since I just discovered it last night, but the black on brick has an industrial look and I tried colors on white too.

(I also have a single story version of the columns and that works too)

That my game doesn't seem to mind if the computer accidentally gets put in hibernation mode (I clicked the wrong buttons while doing a picture, and the screen went black. Panicked for a second, then realized it had indeed gone into hibernation. Turned on the computer again, and the game came back on, after a minute or so with "game bluescreen", and then finished the pictures)

Oh, and something I found a while back, but "rediscovered" today - when posing infants, sometimes they'll do an "inbetween" pose when stopping the pose, especially if they're on an OMSP. I've had some fun with those...

If someone is one day's aging from dying of old age, and you send them to a community lot in a car before they age up, when they come back to their home lot, the grim reaper will come for them--but because of that thing that happens when they get out of the car and they have to clear the driveway, the full death animation doesn't occur AND there will be no life insurance payout.

Found this out with Herb Oldie. I sent him on a date before 6:00 p.m., he come home in platinum mood, and died immediately. But he got no hula girls (got the platinum grave, though). And Coral did not get the life insurance settlement I was counting on for her. I guess that makes a good story twist.

PS I have community lot time project so time passes while they are away at a community lot. So I guess this is not vanilla behavior.

If you have him stay at the community lot until after 6 pm, he will die when he comes home. Immediately. Death doesn't take holidays, you know..

I wasn't surprised that he died--that's what I was expecting--but that he didn't get his animation or his life insurance payout because he had to get out of the way of the driveway for some reason when getting out of the car, and that kept the whole death animation from happening.

Ah, that ever-useless "watch out!" action that only ever seems to trigger when the car is sitting perfectly still in the driveway.

When playing with community lot time I try to keep Sims home around 6:00 on their birthdays to avoid aging-up issues. Same with very very pregnant Sims - I might've had one or two accidental sidewalk births before figuring it out...

I was under the assumption that things that made noise woke sims up - tv, computer, pinball machine, radio/ stereo .. all these things I know do wake sims up .. and as such are not good to have in the bedroom .. however playin the console game system doesn't seem to wake up nappers .. the sister had been playin for a good few minutes before I snapped the pic to ensure that the sleeper was really sleepin and not about to wake up from the noise

Sims will also sleep through arcade games.

So then what you're sayin is that Dustin Broke needs an arcade machine instead of a pinball one ... lol

Sims get a memory and a ribbon for winning a cooking competition, but only money for winning a gaming competition.

Yet when the car is trying to leave for work will the 'watch out' action be pushed on the cat sitting in its way licking itself? Of course not!

That's strange, I'm fairly certain I've had sims wake up from the TV video game noise.

I thought it was just children that could sleep through noise?

Video games specifically? I have to throw in a 'noise doesn't wake Sims' hack while playing one household because otherwise the kid with a sofa-bed in the living room would never get any sleep.

I thought it was through anything on the TV, although I could definitely be remembering incorrectly.

Well in this household, the kid's mother likes to be a bit of an ass by constantly turning on the TV while he's trying to sleep.
