This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
Default Many Sims3packs from the Exchange aren't installing through the launcher. The button for downloading them directly from the browser also does not work?
Hey there, I've had a bunch of Sims 3 characters, worlds and households in my launcher downloads folder for a while and been attempting to install them with no success. After saving them, they always throw back a error saying that I don't have the correct version for them to install.

I've heard that there's been a corruption issue when it comes to directly downloading them as files, and the correct way is to add them to the game through the browser instead. However, this hasn't worked for me using any browser, and throws back a error saying there is no file associated with the action.

You can try placing them on desktop, and double clicking them. Launcher should open and install. If that doesn't work, I'm out.

Still failed unfortunately. I'm not entirely certain what else can work, except maybe updating from 1.67 to 1.69? Only that's not recommended and I would rather not do that just to make some packs from the exchange work properly.

That's unlikely to make a difference. Turn them into packages?

Might have to yeah, though maybe I could sort of repack them into Sims3packs afterwards as well, because I don't like having too many loose packages with random names.
