Default The Sims Community is Dead
We need to start preserving the sims 2 because I just saw a post on here announcing that the simlogical domain is now gone I might start a simsfileshare folder with all mods from inactive users...as long as that is allowed, im unsure

There are tumblr blogs doing this job already. Maybe contributing to them would help the effort of a central hub a bit more than starting another one.

Archiving stuff is always a good idea but don't panic, link decay has been an issue for a while now and there's people who make an effort to find and re-upload old content. There's places like the sims graveyard (http://thesimsgraveyard.com/index.php) and people in the sims crafters discord server (https://discord.gg/E7VTR6FcU2) have links to various archives that people have made.

Honestly that is a very smart idea! There's already a central hub for hairs and lots, doing one for mods is smart

@bleaksimmer don't assume that the community is dying - all you have to do, in case the original site is down, is ask.

The Sims community is very much not dead. Thank you. A group of modders is working on remaking sims 2. They would hardly have been working hard on this for the past year if we were 'dead'.

Wow how interesting! I can imagine new scenarios and dynamics as well as animations and interactions :O That's great. Can you imagine more body types as if they were part of the base game?

Also the work we have done with custom hoods can be even more valuable if the game is updated.
