The game will have a memory system, but nothing is known about it. I read in the paralives roadmap that there will be memories and that there will be a menu dedicated to memories. I recommend everyone to read the whole thing. It is also stated that paras will have wants and that objects will have effects on characters.

EDIT: Here is a video showing exercise animations. I really like how Roger is visibly shaking from the hard exercise.

Gridless construction and new paramaker items.

The team also worked on redesigning the menu interface. Every item is now categorised properly and there are more icons for the categories and less text.

I feel like this is worth mentioning because it shows us how much the game has changed and we also need to be aware that there is going to be additional changes. There is still a whole year before we play early access. The team recently had a playtest of the build and buy mode and some things have changed since then.

Definitely some exciting updates publicly and on patreon. It's nice seeing them clean up a bit in preparation for next year. So close yet so far.
I love how the new UI is looking compared to what it was before.

Paralives are at the Montreal Comiccon right now and people can playtest the game. So far from the people who have spoken out, it's smooth and fun. Couple videos and images:

I am so happy for the team because they are making their dream come true! The team as a whole being an indie studio makes it even more suprising. They are doing great in my opinion and they are particularly excelling in the gameplay section of a life simulator. I am honestly intrigued with all the systems that they are creating/coding.

I really like how Alex said in the video that TS is kind of rigid in some aspects. Alex specifically mentioned the grid not being malleable, but TS is like that when it comes to gameplay as well.

I only found out that a no-grid building will be an option. By now, it is a must in pre-modern city builders - all the best ones (Ostriv, Foundation, Manor Lords) have it - but I never thought I would see it in a Sims-like game. It is groundbreaking because it means that we should be able to make a really organic looking village/town/city and that we should also be able to follow the development of a 'hood from, say, a farm or two to a ton of modern buildings of all kind. Graphics are simple enough to enable quite a few Paras to live in one 'hood; some elements are still missing, designable roads and pavements being the most obvious, but if the developer will continue down this road the game could reach a point no other Sim-like game has reached before.

Fences. I love how easy it is to replace a fence with another.
