I can guess that the second and third are twice as fast and take a hike, but I don't have a clue what the other 3 could be.

Setting registration challenges that reference an old TV programme that relatively few people outside of america would have ever heard of seems rather jerky to me.

It's a way to get around bots. It's been working quite well lately (with just the odd one slipping through, instead of large waves).

Back when the questions changed, I had absolutely no idea what this reference was, either (never heard of it before) - but it didn't take more than a search or two to figure out what it was supposed to be. It's not supposed to be impossible, just slightly more tricky than "what's the current year" (previous question, which didn't get changed for a couple or so years, adding to the difficulty level for a while there ).

They could at least mention that its the theme song to a tv programme, to make it slightly easier for those who don't realise that.
Surely bots aren't able to parse that.
