Hello! I've been struggling with my Castaway Stories and trying to make it open since last night, and the issue is whenever I open it with a different compatibility on, it says "The application has crashed. The application will now be terminated."
then when I turn off compatibility mode it will let me watch the intro, and see the loading screen for a second before crashing once again with that same message.

I really, really want to play this game so bad! Can anyone please recommend anything? I tried installing an old Direct X from another post, but it helped to no avail.

Hello)) I had the same problems 3-4 months ago. I solved them by changing the video card and compatibility. but even after that, only one resolution is available in the game, it is possible to play in full screen mode.
