I'm in the process of making my own default replacements for the face templates. As is known, template 21 and 25 are borked in their linking, and Argon also made a fix for it. In the forum post it is said that

Am I understanding it right that I won't have to do anything regarding linking myself as long as Argons fix is in the game? I'm sorry if this seems obvious, but I really want to make sure before it turns out all the work put into it is for nothing unless I also do step xyz beforehand, too lol.
