This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures
Default Install sims3pack w/o Launcher?
So I've read about the Launcher on MATY, and I have decided not to use it. EDIT: Disregard what I said about 3Viewer, I reread the features and realized it can't install the stuff I was trying. Oops!I've installed a few sims3pack files successfully with 3Viewer, but I'm running into problems with Exchange stuff. If I try to install it with 3Viewer, it says that part of the pack cannot be installed, and this part must be necessary since it's not showing up in my game.

I also downloaded Delphy's multi installer, but I have no idea how to work that thing. It would have been nice if someone had said where to set it to install the sims3pack files to!

Are there any other programs (or can someone tell me how to work Delphy's thing), or am I out of luck here?

This is what I do when I download the dreaded sims3pack files. I place them into the My Documents directory as such ...\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads

Then I run Delphys great multi installer program, without it I wouldn't deal with sims3pack files.

Once the multi installer program is open, read the steps. Step #1: Select the sims3pack folder to be extracted, in this case its the downloads or a new folder somewhere where you downloaded the sims3pack files to. Then step #2: browse to the Sims 3 Root folder to install the package files into:

C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages

Then Step #3: click the install button and your done, just so as long as you know about the resource config files and such.

Now the multi installer will unpack the sims3pack files into a package file with a funky name instead of a human reconizable name.

I think we have a semantics problem. Delphy's installation tool for the Sims 3 is this:
http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=344611 It does not install sims3packs. It only installs .package. files. Note the big bullet point as to what it will NOT do.

Jfade has a sim3 installer for sims3packs:

I had no idea Delphy's tool would work for sims3packs. I would have assumed the 3viewer was exactly what you were looking for: a way to install sims3packs without using the launcher.

Delphy's Helper Monkey installs only .package files.

Delphy's Multi Installer installs .sims3pack files, but isn't posted here. It's over on Sims 3 Tools: http://www.simlogical.com/Sims3Tool....php?topic=53.0

That clears that up! I thought they were using an entirely different program. :p
