This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Supernatural, University Life, Island Paradise
Default The files that ends with .rar
Can you put the CC that you've downloaded that ends with ".rar" in the packages files or will it not work?

If you can't, where do yo place those?

.rar files need to be unzipped with WinZip. Then the .package file inside can be places in the mods folder.

Files ending in .rar are compressed files. You must "unpack" the files within it to place in the game. You "unpack" them using a program like WinRAR and then placing the unpacked package files in the mod/packages folder, or the Sim3Packs in the downloads folder for installation with the Launcher, depending on the .rar contents. And you are correct, placing the .rar file in the packages folder by themselves will not work.
