Hi. A few weeks ago I started having problems with saving anything. I couldn't save sims or my games. So after trying everything I decided to reinstall my game. While that fixed the issue of not being able to save, it caused many more issues.

The biggest being that it constantly freezes in build/buy mode. It'll unfreeze after 20-30 minutes and then I move around or try to place something and it freezes once more. It says not responding and has the white overlay of the not responding screen. I have never had this issue before. Before reinstalling sims I had never had any issues with any of my cc or my computer struggling to load anything in build/buy mode, this is completely new. I also lost about half of my cc in the process of reinstalling, so if anything it should be running a little more smoothly.

Before reinstalling the game everything ran perfecting. I played on high settings and it rarely crashed or froze. I deleted all the new cc I recently installed, I repaired the game multiple times, and I've deleted the cache many times. I used Delphy's dashboard to try and figure out what was wrong but there was nothing. I've gone through so many things trying to fix my game but in the end nothing works.

What happens to your computer's internal temperature as you use build/buy mode? There are programs like Speccy that will monitor the temperature. Does your computer get really hot?


How much hard drive space do you have left? When you start running real low, this will cause performance issues.
