Default Converting Sims 3 Objects to Sims 2
Hello new converters!
This tutorial is intended for persons with no previous experience of converting objects, and like myself, probably 'old school' who enjoys having a handout to refer to and can see what you have to do every step of the way.
It is a simple guide (albeit with 68 pages ) and every instruction has a picture.

I have started by creating a living chair made of one material - Level One.

The tutorial is in PDF format and I would recommend that it is viewed (particularly the SimPE sections) at 200%.

It is my intention to upload other Levels of converting objects and happy to welcome feedback to improve the contents.

Hope you enjoy!

Special thanks to Tashiketh for assistance with the attachment.

Amazing! Have you made a guide for 4t2 conversions, too, or this one can also apply? I want to convert some sims 4 cc for my sims 2 game.
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Hello @Gia-G
Merry Christmas!
Converting 4to2 is very similar to 3to2.
It is just a little different in retrieving the object textures from TSR Workshop, and in Milkshape 3D the object may need to be resized whereas Sims 3 objects tend to be the same size as Sims 2 objects.
At the moment, I have not created a tutorial but if you leave it with me, I can do it in the New Year - I do mean in the next couple of weeks.

That would be great! It would be very helpful, because I've found some sims 4 creators whose cc is very beautiful. Thank you Ladysimplayer8!

Hello @Gia G
It is slightly different process using non EA custom content, so I will add that to the tutorial.
In the meantime, please contact the creator asking if they intend to convert the object to Sims 2; if not would they have any objection to you converting the object.

Good luck!

It's also possible to extract the TS4 meshes and recolors with Sims4Studio. The program can be a bit easier to work with, and also works with clothes/CAS items - but does require Blender for the extraction process (most of the rest can be done in Milkshape).

TSRW loves to crash and is really slow, so personally I tend to prefer S4Studio for extracting TS4 meshes.

There are several tutorials already for converting 4t2. Reasonably sure I've seen object tutorials, and there's at least a few CAS tutorials.
