Default My custom world Paxlanis updated 2023
A few years ago I posted a more incomplete version of my custom world. I added more to it earlier this year. It is roughly based on small seaside towns in West Michigan and mountains in NC. There are lots of houses and almost all kind of lots. It is about 99% complete. A few lots need touch ups, a few need to be built or are unfinished. I'm posting it on Google Drive. Hope somebody enjoys it.

Thanks for the comments. I have updated it a little, and built alot more lots such as the beach, supernatural cave, horse training area, a church, 2 graveyards, art museum, big show venue, 2 updated Festival lots, a model of the bar from Cheers, 3 apartments and I re-did the houses in the main town to more smaller cottages.
The only issue is that I get error code 12 alot if I play the town for over an hour. The world has about 195 lots. I'm not sure if I'm getting it because of the size of the world. The world file is only 140 MB, and the save file is only 145 MB so I'm not sure what's going on. I deleted all memories with NRAAS and disabled townie immigration.

I uploaded my new version, Pax Shores, with save file, to SFS:

A few Store downloads are optional for some of the lots:
The Lucky Simoleon Casino (Roulette Table, Blackjack Table, Poker table, and the Slot Machine)
Vertical Challenge Rock Wall
Level Up Collection (free on Store site)
Classic Gumball Machine
Rim Rockin' Basketball

Here's some more screenshots:

Thanks!!!

I have had to update the world again. There was an issue in which the rural area with 2 houses was too low to the sea level and sims were swimming in the basement of their house. I raised the terrain. I also added a consignment store and a hotel apartment for poor sims. The latest save file is included in my new upload. Going to replace all the links in this thread with this one. Also updated a festival ground and made the church a big park so sims can throw wedding parties there.

By the way, the world is pretty big, so you have to "save as" every 1-2 sim days to make sure error code 12 doesn't happen. 2 days and saving in the AM works fine for me.

EDIT:

I am aware of the issues. Here is my latest update to the world. https://simfileshare.net/filedetails/4833595/
I just lowered some trees that were floating

not to be rude, but those skyscrapers on the screenshots look out of place in a world that looks rustic. so in case of error 12, deleting elevators might help a little bit.

Error 12 is not caused by elevators. I have a million of them in my worlds and have never encountered an error 12 because of them.

The Error 12 suggests that something else might be going on. (A rule of thumb is to be careful with having too many trees of different species in a world.) The world might have an issue and need to be re-exported.

Anyway, I will check it out. I don't think Paxlanis should be coughing up error 12. It's on the large side, but not on the super large side. I've gotten that error when the world is bugged or using certain mods, and right now, there's a conflict between NRAAS and Lazy Dutchess that everyone wants to ignore at their own peril.

It's not so bad if they are all on the same layer, as then they are grouped per chunk.

That is good to know, because I've always been paranoid about going overboard, since the manual issues a stern warning. But I wonder if the rule doesn't matter so much today because of how powerful computers are nowadays, opposed to back then when even the most minor thing could cause the game to crash.

@esouths: I downloaded Palanxis and I have good news, bad news, good news and bad news again...which might become good news. I don't know.

Okay, so I installed your world, and it is absolutely impeccable in detail and organization. That is the good news.

The bad news is that it appears that something has glitched. When I get to the first screen ("Let's Play the Sims 3"), I don't get any icons or anything when selecting "Choose/Move in Household." So, this suggests that something became borked at some point. Your world is also missing the thumbnail at the Main Menu screen. I have posted screenshots to show you what I mean. When picking a household from bin, house icons should show up. But nothing shows up at all, even though your world is unpopulated (?) and there are affordable houses for poor sims.

Another thing I noticed is that it seemed as if there were missing bridges? But the thing is, I'm missing Supernatural and ITF on this machine, so that could be the reason. But if you're using bridges from EPs other than those two, there's an issue.

I double-checked that nothing was going on with my setup by opening one of my own worlds, and the icons loaded as they should. However, it would be great if someone else installed it as well to confirm that this is an issue and that it's not just me noticing this. Or maybe OP can see if they have the issue, too.

The good news is that you can definitely fix this. The bad news is that it might take a little elbow grease and some backtracking to set things right. But I won't say more unless I'm sure there is a problem.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure how to go about fixing that issue. I updated the world a little bit and used my own save file and it works fine (besides Error Code 12).

Also to get rid of Error Code 12 I unchecked Into The Future in my Steam settings for the game. That made it so that ITtF doesn't load as one of the EP's. That also gets rid of some of the ITtF objects in the world which is minor such as benches in lots and the solar panel world objects (tbh I find ITtF a pretty useless EP soo)...

As for your problem, I would just suggest to use my save file and add your own families after. It is included in the download.
But at some point I will look into loading it in TS3 as an empty world.

https://simfileshare.net/filedetails/4833595/

The update is pretty much just that I lowered some trees that were floating, and added 1 house to an empty lot.

The save file also works with the new edited world file. I tested that.

Sorry I uploaded this to SFS a long time ago and didn't get back to posting it on here. XD
I'm going to re-test it soon.
