Default Mods and modders
I have been playing the game for some time and, of course, I started to discover and download mods and CC. I have big game-changing mods and small tuning mods and everything in between; I even have mods that are looking after other mods. I have beautiful build/buy stuff, though I haven't touched CAS stuff yet - I know from older games where that path leads.

But while doing all of this I also, once more, started to wonder about the creators. Is Little Miss Sam what she is supposed to be or is she really a disheveled middle-aged man, hunched over his computer 24/7? I'd guess that people who are making stuff and people who are making mods are two very distinct species, but I am not sure; and so on. In any case, there are quite a few creators on MTS and it would be interesting to hear at least a bit from and about you.

Even though I am not a modder, my best answer regarding talking with people online is that you never know who is on the other side. People always assume that another person has no reason to lie and that is just wrong thinking. Many people, and especially children, have been tricked because of this mindset. Dangerous people will always lie and some are very good at it.

The progression of technology has made the problem even worse. There are now AI programms that can create a profile picture of a non-existing human! It looks so realistic. There are AI programms that can mimic voices of your family members as well. It is just crazy!

I know that we should not be so paranoid, but extra precautions are always a wise move. You can never know enough. Criminals always ruin everything for other people...

Not what I intended to say at all, but I heard worse things about that artist meme guy.

EDIT: I want to make it clear that I didn't want to make somebody feel uncomfortable. I am sometimes too serious due to my mental state (psychosis). I am telling you this because we should definitely destigmatize talking about these topics. And this is is not about me and I will not go off-topic anymore.

If anyone wants to know the real me then they can send me a private message.

Anyway, here's the reality of modders (for any game); Modders have lives outside of their mods. Shocking right? But the person you know online as, say, "Little Miss Sam", is often not the same person offline. I can, however, tell you right now that I am not the same person online as I am in my offline life.

Axes? Nah I prefer chainsaws. The Scarface way.

Well, this didn't go the way I intended. I don't want to know your real names and addresses (though you are free to post your credit card numbers, should you feel like it). What I am really interested in is what and where the creators of CC are doing in real life - basically, looking for a pattern, or absence of one. Be as vague as it suits you - for example, a continent is enough if you don't want to disclose more.

It's a bit difficult to get to know creators on a one-on-one level when you're asking them to post in a thread. A forum thread just isn't as personal as doing a PM or discord or whatever.

Hmm, I live in a rural area, about an hour away from a major city. My town is not unlike my TS2 Plot of Land neighborhood in my forum signature (It is loosely based off my IRL town). My personal spiritual beliefs is reflected in the avatar I use and type of content I create.

I don't play TS4 much, I always liked the first two games the most, but 3 ain't bad either.

TBH I have way too many other priorities. All I am interested in is the CC and mods and if I want to have them in my games or not? The real people the modders are is of no interest to me. I just thank them for what they give us. I appreciate their work. And that is it.
