Basically, what kind of music do you interpret the Maxis-made sims as really being into? Obviously it's a bit fast-and-loose when taking the fictional universe of The Sims and real life music and culture into account, but we're just having fun here, or am I crazy? Either/or

I imagine Glarn Curious was a big fan of Kraftwerk and played them a lot while the kids were growing up, with each of the brothers taking a liking to them as a result and having their own favorite album; Pascal - Trans-Europe-Express, Vidcund - Radio-Activity, and Lazlo - Computer World. Pascal is a heavy enthusiast of electronic music, starting off with classic synthpop and house music before getting into artists like Aphex Twin, Autechre, and Boards of Canada. Vidcund, being a reserved and gloomy kind of guy, gravitated toward the new romantic and gothic movements. He wore out his copy "Golden Age of Wireless" by Thomas Dolby, loved him some Depeche Mode, Japan, and Gary Numan, and got really into The Cure when Circe dumped him (Disintegration got heavy rotation during that time ). Lazlo's tastes, being the youngest, was heavily influenced by his senior family members, but still swayed more to post-punk and new wave, and later leaned into house, trance, and DnB. He and a very angsty Vidcund would get into arguments over the stereo system when Lazlo wanted to put on some DEVO, but at least they had a shared love of Flock of Seagulls. He never got too much into IDM like Pascal, but his house music collection got its hooks into him due to his more easygoing attitude. He drove everyone crazy when he got a copy of Deee-Lite's World Clique. Jenny's musical tastes reflected her good-natured and motherly demeanor, mostly digging rock, alt rock, and pop. She liked stuff like R.E.M, U2, and the occasional Smashing Pumpkins. She has a soft spot for The Man-Machine because of her dad .
