Hi all!

I want to create a mod to enhance the childbirth experience for sims 3 and add a touch of realism.

Ideally, I want the mod to include a feature where the chance of natural birth vs c-section is randomized or set at a predetermined percentage (70% for natural, 30% for c-section). I want each outcome to have its own effects (custom moodlets for mom and baby, options such as choosing pain medication or natural birth, giving sims who gave birth through c-section the c-section scar mod)

However, I don't know if this is possible and if it is, I have no idea where/how to start or even what programs to use.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I don't know if you're still looking into this but I had a similar idea today - I was going to try and do it through moodlets and see if I could add a chance thing to 'have baby at hospital' or see if I can add other options when the Sim is in labor. I know that there's some override to labor that removes every other interaction but I haven't looked that far. Honestly still struggling to get one moodlet to show up so we'll see
