Default Neck seam in CAS
Hi! There is a weird neck seam visible on my sims in CAS. It doesn't really transfer that prominently to live mode but it's still very distracting. I've seen a similar topic here on this forum but it doesn't look like the issue was fixed (even though the OP considered it fixed).

I took out absolutely everything from my Mods folder, even NRaas mods and stuff just to be completely sure that it's not some CC's fault. The only modification that's present in my game on those screens are the updated GraphicCards and GraphicRules files. I couldn't find a backup of those so I downloaded a different modified version of them to try out but there still was no difference. Plus I'm using GShade but the seam is there regardless of the preset being turned on or off.

Here's the seam on a female (all pictures are in previews)

And here's the seam on a male

Here's the seam with the GShade preset turned off, just in case anyone has doubts

I tried kurasoberina's Primer instead of my usual default skintone but the result is the same

All the graphics settings are on max except for edge smoothing which is off. If anyone finds it relevant, I'll happily post my PC specs.

Any ideas on why this is happening? I've checked several create a sim YouTube videos just to make sure that I'm not going insane. and it looks like other simmers don't have this issue.

P.S. Mandatory apology for my English, I feel like this text is a bit all over the place since I'm ill so please feel free to ask for clarifications if needed

A good place to start would be to drag and drop your The Sims 3 folder (the same one your Mods folder lives in) onto your desktop and start the game, which will generate a fresh one. This will 100% make sure there is no custom content or wonky settings interfering.
If your install is through EA App or Steam, you can use Fix Game / Verify Integrity of Game Files to undo any changes you made to the install location files as well.

If the issue remains, it could be related to your graphics card- either the specific model, the settings, or the current driver version having issues.

Cardinal has been taken by a fey mood!

Thank you for your answer!
Your words reminded me that I had messed with the NVIDIA Control Panel settings for the game. I reverted them to the original and rebooted my PC but unfortunately to no avail.
I then debated for a while if I should fix the game through the EA app since I have LD's Smooth patch and launcher, worlds fixes and that recent Vulkan thing... I decided to give it a try. After fixing the game nothing changed, so I decided to make one last attempt and reinstalled the game completely. Here are the screenshots from the newly installed game. Funny thing is, when I booted it for the first time, there actually were no seams but the overall quality of sims texture was terrible. So on these screenshots all the settings are back to max. Is it just me or the seam seems (ha-ha) to be a bit less visible?

I guess that means I'll have to check the CAS after every modification I'll make to bring my game to the shape it was in berofe. Oof...
