Paul McDermand's arrangements for steel drums are incredible. I have four of his CD's.

This is the Charles Manson song the Beach Boys recorded. I think it had potential. It sounds like it's only half done, though, and there's no real bridge between the two verses, just a simplistic chorus. I dunno, I don't know anything about song writing.

Lyrics:

Cease to resist, come on say you love me
Give up your world, come on and be with me
I'm your kind, I'm your kind, and I see
Come on come on, ooo I love you pretty girl
My life is yours, and you can have my world
I'm your kind, I'm your kind, and I see
Never had a lesson I ever learned
I know I could never learn not to love you
Come in now closer
Come in closer closer closer ahhhh
Submission is a gift, give it to your lover
Love and understanding is for one another
I'm your kind, I'm your kind, and I see
Never had a lesson I ever learned
I know I could never learn not to love you
Come in now closer
Come in closer come in closer ahhhh
Ahhh-ahhh-ahhh-ahhh-ahhhhhh
Ahhh-ahhh-ahhh-ahhh-ahhhhhh

Been listening to the Beach Boys' more recent studio albums, ie, those of the last 45 years (not including compilations). The pickings of good songs is meager, frankly. Here's the best song from their 'Summer in Paradise' album, from 1992. The really cool BB fans generally seem to consider this to be the band's worst album, but I don't think it is. IMO, that title belongs to their 'Love You' (1977) and eponymous 'The Beach Boys' (1985).
So, here's 'Strange Things Happen' a more than decent tune, I think:
