A couple of years ago, I made a mod that made the regular meals last for a week. At the request of TheNedrane on Reddit, I've hacked the file that controls the baked goods that came with Makin' Magic to make the bread and cakes also last for a week.

This does NOT go in your Downloads folder, but it goes in a DIFFERENT place than the mod for the regular food.

Unzip the folder and put FoodSB.iff in your The Sims\ExpansionShared folder, and it will override the FoodSB.iff file that's inside the ExpansionShared.far file. For most players, this is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims\ExpansionShared. Because this is overriding a file that's inside ExpansionShared.far, the modded file has to go into the same folder as the far file for that to happen.

TheNedrane also asked me to hack the turkey to make it last longer. That's controlled by yet a third file, and I haven't gotten to it yet. My health is poor -- I have several chronic illnesses -- so there's a limit to what I can do in any given week. I hope to get to the turkey eventually.
