It's hard for me to pick a least favorite... I guess BV? If only because I don't use the vacation system like, ever if at all. Favorite feature from that is absolutely jewelry and, most importantly, WALKING TO LOTS!

I don't care very much for BV, probably because I've never taken a sim on vacation. I don't know if I can fairly class it as my least favourite, though, since I haven't really tried it yet. But anyway, what I like about it is saunas, massage tables and the tea-drinking set.

Surprised to see so much hate for FreeTime. It has always been one of my favourites. I agree that the enthusiasm system and the thousands of notifications are stupidly annoying but I just nerf them with mods, so, eh. I like them doing the hobby idles!

Out of the EPs I have played more of, I think Nightlife is my least favourite. But I do love dates, chemistry, and inventory is handy. I find the entire concept of Downtown strange (I don't really understand what it is supposed to be - is it an American culture thing?) and I don't care for vampires.

Does Mansions and Gardens count BTW? I am still annoyed that I have to have that for UC to work. I feel like it broke so many things. However, I do like the roof slider tool a lot, and the slide down banister animation is cute, even though I rarely ever see it.

Check out my thoughts on Psymchology (Sim Psychology) - latest post is on the main six aspirations.

Sure, stuff packs can be evaluated too! Except for IKEA Stuff, which is a perfect SP and exactly what it says on the tin. Dirt cheap particle board furniture for everyone!

And have a chance of it falling apart, complete with angry animations for our Sims.

Perhaps it should also be Logic-sensitive, reflecting a Sim's ability to read and understand the instructions.

I like the Pets EP.
Yes, they could have done much more with it.

Yet, I still enjoy the dogs and cats (and toddlers hugging big dogs are just so cute) - and, well, I also like the furniture that came with pets

Awesome. Thanks for the link! Also, it's useful to know that Stories objects can't be included in downloads, only linked to. I'll have to remove the PS dog agility redux from the plot of land cc collection and link to where I found it instead.

Although, i'm not sure the stories games technically count as EPs though since they're standalone games that just happen to use TS2's engine as a base, but I won't argue the matter. Easier to just link to the agility redux when the 'hood goes live on the MTS download page.

I looked at the link to MTS rules that Chris Hatch linked to and Stories stuff is no longer mentioned on there, so maybe things have changed.

Seems like Bon Voyage is getting the harshest treatment in this thread, and I gotta ask: Is there no love for Bigfoot, our oddball not-a-life-state hairy king? This absolute gentleman is a polymath genius and hard worker, and he gives great hugs.

And, he brings home gifts from work! (Plus the adorable waistcoat and bowler hat outfit)

Too many gifts lol. Maybe once a week would be better.

There was a mod to change the gift frequency I seem to remember, anyone know who it was created by?

I like BV.

I like all 3 destinations, and I am actually using 3 extra vacation hoods.

I like the Tai Chi, the Hula, the Slap dance, the Legend, the Old Man, Big Foot too. Not that fond of the witch doctor, but it does not matter enough to prevent me from thoroughly enjoying playing sims on vacation.

Some of my Sims have great vacations, others seem to be a bit unlucky, being stung by bees, coming back itching from trips, getting flu and having a grand old miserable time. Of course, that means they need a second vacation to make up for the first one

I have added, over the years, a lot of 3 to the vanilla vacation hoods, because one can do that, you know. I have edited some of the hotels and some of the community lots - because one can do that too I have fun.

As I said, I don't know what a least favorite EP is

Totally relateable!

My job is literally to correct errors in other people's writing, but I often look back at things I post online and find hte most random errors.

(Leftall my typos on purpose in this one.)

UNI- I been playing the Sims 2 since 2007 and have never play that EP ( Never had a interest in it ) all those it's installed.

Nightlife- Love it
Seasons- love it
The Eps that get an so so with me is
Pets, OFB
Eps I have but not installed
BV, FT ( they sometime give me game problems )
But to be honest all Sims 2 Eps have their up and down, thank goodness for modders they help make the games more interesting,
and their added corrections or new game play when Maxi left us cold.

I think my least favourite would have to be either Pets or University.
In the case of Pets, it's mostly that the expansion pack didn't really bring much else to the table the way other packs have, and I feel it lacks a sense of identity. But there's the animals, of course. There are cats. Although I haven't actually had this for well over a decade because I never actually owned it, when it came out a friend of mine had it so I borrowed it from them to install it.
As for University I just don't really care for the whole university thing, which is a pretty big aspect of this expansion. My sims and me have had some fun with it, but now that it's out of my game I don't miss it at all. But I do miss some items, like the different exercise machines, and all the instruments. And if I remember correctly, the hang out-interaction or whatever it's called came with this.
Never played BV or AL. I did have BV but the disc got damaged somehow before I even got to install it and then I just never replaced it. Fortunately installing FT still added the walk to lot option to my game.

I am Error.

I highly recommend osab's The Sims 2 Starter Pack so you can try BV and AL for yourself! Especially as the expansions are abandonware that you couldn't buy new copies for anyway (hope that doesn't make you feel old). They both have their charms, although I think AL has more longetivity in my sessions. It feels like a Nightlife++ expansion in the best way.
