Something really funny (well, sad) just happened. A social class townie somehow got locked out of her apartment (this bug has happened to me once before) and made the critical mistake of jumping into the communal pool. Obviously she died, she hasn't slept in a week. The literal last interaction she had before she made this terrible decision was one of those "socialise" interactions you sometimes see and she offered a job to one of my playables, Connor Weir's wife Palmira Wendland. So basically she killed herself but offered her job to someone else just to make sure the employer wouldn't lose out on an employee. Such foresight!

I can interpret this in one of two ways, either the townie was very sick and recommended someone to take her place, or I can go the dark route and call foul play. What to do, what to do...

Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport

Weedy turned out to be the first Street kid to be ready to leave for college. I thought it would be Lane, but Weedy's grades were better.



Here you can see Weedy Street heading for her taxi, just a few minutes after dark. Sandy Fairchild just happens to be walking by. Walker Street, the family St. Bernard, is napping in the front yard.

It's a short trip to Sandy Book University. It's on the same road, just a couple of towns over. I did my best to recreate Sandy Book from screenshots and packaged lots.

I found the Vicuna Dormitory packaged up, with some Sims from my old Strangetown game still in it. Will Smith, grandson of the starter alien kid, is one of them. I'm going to take the risk and let these kids return to a changed Strangetown, but they're getting cleanings from both Batbox and Mootilda first. The Fleete, Knott and Katz families no longer exist, so those kids will just become like kids created for University, but I'm expecting some weirdness with Will.

Turns out Tish Spitzig is also a teen from my old Strangetown. I don't even remember her, but she got packaged with the Vicuna Dorm as a playable Sim.

I also found Katelyn Bruenig the Infallably Good Witch, with her podium and cauldron in her room, but she's not a playable Sim. I thought at first she was a playable Sim who accidentally lost playable status, but she lives on the wrong floor - I always rotate my playables through the 5 rooms on the ground floor. I may have tinkered more with this packaged lot than I remembered.

In Thalia, Kent Sparks (the least attractive guy around-fat, lazy and charming) has gone through women like crazy-he's been engaged to two women, and almost married them except that in the last instance, he made out with his fiancee's sister (Debbie Hansen who is married, but she doesn't care..) and so Anita Hansen joins the list of jilted women in Thalia, which seems to be a haven for men who won't or can't behave and the women who love them.

He's just going to have to wait for Debbie's husband (who is an elder-but who does not know that Debbie is cheating on him, but he might not care, either...)to die. Meanwhile he's just making life miserable for the ladies.

That's it! I've found the motto of this town: "A haven for the men who can't or won't behave and the women who love them." That is not to say that the women are slackers in breaking hearts-they just do it more stealthily.
