Life stages
A very large part (in my opinion) of what makes Sims 2 fun and has lasted as long as it has is the CC and mods. With these it allows everyone to have their own play style from clothes to furniture to sexuality to aging, and so much more. What one person likes another may not like, so please no bashing or negative comments on comments and allow everyone to comment according to how they like to play and remember what Thumper's mama told him "If ya can't say somethin nice don't say nothing at all"
I know that elders ages range from 9 days to 29 days dependin on how they "lived" their life.. However, how do you deal with those sims who start at the elder stage .. do you give them extra days or leave them to their very short span?
How do you see sims life stages? Do you compare them to RL aging? Do you prefer to play with longer life spans? Do you change the life spans at all or just play? Or is your preference to play with aging off and never let them age? If you do that does that mean your babies, toddlers, children all stay that age?
For me, I nearly always play Pleasantview and sometimes add in some of the suburbs like Bluewater and Strangetown (MeetMe's cleaned ones). I dislike the fact that many of the grandparents are long gone and at times wish to bring them back, but I'm at a loss as to what ages to give them. I do have a spreadsheet listing out all the age stages and how they correlate to RL ages, however because Elders aging functions differently I'm not exactly sure how I wish to age them. In my throw away plays I don't play with longer life mods, but I do have one (as well as a fixed ACR to go with inteen thanks to a friend
) for when I play for real. I do like BO's individual aging mod, but not sure that'd help in knowin what ages to give to the returning grandparents. *by grandparents I'm meanin the parents of the adult premade sims
