Default Bodyshop wont open at all
Hi, Bodyshop used to work just fine for me, but since a few weeks it won't open at all. No mayor PC updates happened, no new anti virus. I get no Error, i just won't start and don't show up in the Taskmanager

What i tried so far:

open as Admit
changing which grafikcard to use
deleting Caches
deleting the files like cigen.package
deleted thumbnails
removing the Download folder
removed my User files
removing savedsims

I can play the sims 2 just fine and open create a sim. But no Bodyshop and i can't find any more Ideas online then those i tried. My last Expansion was mansion and gardenstuff so im using the body shop there but have tried all the others out of desperation. Non of them work. If anyone has an Idea, i would be very greatful!

Do you have the 4GB patch installed on the Bodyshop.exe? That might help.

When you say it doesn't open, what happens? What are the symptoms? Does it begin to start but never finishes? Does it crash partway through? Any additional information you can provide could be helpful.

When you changed the graphic card it's using, which GraphicRules/Video Cards files did you edit? The Bodyshop files are in the "...[SP9/M&G folder]\TSData\Res\CSConfig" folder, not in the "Config" folder.

So it never shows up in Task Manager at all?
Do you get any Windows prompts when opening it, or errors, or similar?

Mine is always a bit slow, so it shows up at the bottom in TM before it jumps up to where open programs show. If you have a lot of tasks running, it can hide a bit. It's always slower on first load after the PC has been off. With little to no CC it should open within 1-5 minutes, though.

Heyo, no when i clicked on it nothing happened. Like the mouse did a swirly thing but it never started. But i fixed it by adding the checkmarks to enable memory manager and disable texture memory adjustment in Graphic Rules Maker

I'm having the same thing. It only just started happening yesterday too.

Edit: okay nvm, I had some saved sims that wouldn't let it open for some reason. Everything's coming up milhouse!
