When i play my Sims 2 UC, i hear no footsteps sound, and i want them to detail my game. In my mom's laptop that has M&G stuff, the footsteps sound is present, but in my TS2UC, it's not present.

How do i return them?

1: Have you checked sound settings ingame? Could be "Ambient" have been turned down or is muted (this one has footstep noises).

2: Is it for all clothes, or for CC only? (Footstep noises are linked to clothes and what the sim is walking on. It's possible some CC clothes have no sound or the wrong sound setting, depending on what they were cloned from.

3: Are other ingame sounds working fine?

4: Do you have any mods that modify sounds ingame?


(I've got the original Origin UC, and it definitely has footstep noises - just checked on a no-CC lot, and also double-checked it's the "ambient" setting).

4. No. I was gonna say maybe it's secret coding in my mods, until i realized this very same problem occured when i freshly installed the game

Just to be sure, can you take a screenshot of your sound settings and post it here?

Also, which version of the game do you have? (Original Origin UC from EA, other full collection, discs, ...?) - could be a bug in the game version you have.

I'll send the sound settings later, and i have the Sims 2 starter pack by OSAB (or whatever their name is)

You can't move it. A mod will move it and tell you to post for help in help.

Oh yeah! I went to sleep and forgot to send you the sound settings. Here it is. Once again, i have osab's Sims 2 starter Pack, that has the UC with some optimizations.

You got a disagree from me because I already told you that noone was going to beat your ass and you were still going on about it lol.

Maybe try turning audio quality up? (Not sure if it will work, but I had mine on the highest when I tried)

Anyone else with Osab's pack who has issues with this?
